Todd Chrisley Says Lindsie Got Married Just To Have Sex!
Todd Chrisley revealed in his podcast that his daughter’s decision to have premarital sex led her into marriage too quickly!
Todd’s eldest daughter, Lindsie, got married to her ex-husband, Will Campbell, at the age of 22 and they share a son named Jason. The Chrisley Knows Best star shared details about his daughter’s decision to split from her ex during his podcast. “My daughter said to me on her podcast several weeks ago that she would have never married her husband had she not had sex with him before marriage,” Todd said. He continued, “The shame and guilt that she had for doing that before marriage is why she married because she felt like that … that cleaned it up … It ended in divorce.”
Lindsie, 33, told her dad that she wouldn’t have gotten married so quickly if he hadn’t been so hard on her about premarital sex. Todd added that the mother of one would have taken a completely different route. Lindsie Chrisley also touched on the topic during her own podcast show, Coffee Convos. She said that her desire to have a nuclear family made her stay with Will longer than she should have. The former couple announced their split in July 2021 through an Instagram post. Lindsie said, “While one door closes, another one opens. It’s with the deepest sadness that, after 9 years of marriage, Will & I have mutually decided to end our marriage. We maintain the greatest respect & love for one another, & we’re so grateful for our time together.”
The mother of one credited her divorce from Will as the reason she reconciled her relationship with Todd Chrisley. She said that shortly after her announcement, Todd posted a message to Lindsie on his Instagram saying, “I’m here, I love you, whatever’s going on in your life right now I see it.”
In an Instagram video posted in September, Lindsie revealed to fans that she is in a relationship with a new man. She captioned her post, “I prayed for you. He waltzed into my life unexpectedly and swept me off my feet. It has not been perfect as we have gotten to know one another as individuals, as parents of our collective children, as partners within this relationship. I’ve learned that I’m truly not seeking perfection at this stage in my life and who decides what’s perfect anyway?” Lindsie’s news comes only a year after she finalized her divorce from Will Campbell.
