Lisa Rinna On The Chopping Block — Why Producers Want Her Fired
Lisa Rinna On The Chopping Block — Why Producers Want Her Fired
Lisa Rinna is on the brink of being fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over her problematic on-screen bullying and unhinged social media antics.
Many Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans and show producers want the cast villain gone after a rather explosive Season 12. During BravoCon22, Lisa Rinna was met with boos from the crowd while walking towards the stage to sit alongside castmates — Sutton Stracke, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais and Erika Jayne. Throughout the season Rinna has spiraled and people around her are fed up.
“Nobody would be sorry to see Lisa go,” a friend told Star magazine. “She’s obviously imploding and could use some time off.”
The tabloid claims Andy Cohen only wanted “people who were rich,” not actresses casted on the show.
“Other ladies were drama queens, but not Lisa,” the source explained of Lisa’s early years on the series. “[But] she obviously learned that being such a pot-stirrer meant she would get more camera time and better storylines. She felt it gave her an edge to say what’s on her mind, and of course the producers loved the drama it caused.”
The source shares if Rinna is fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she would not “own it.”
“She could easily turn it around and say she quit because the show was toxic and not good for her mental health. [But] she doesn’t intend to let them have the last say,” the source revealed. “Lisa admits she wasn’t herself this season. Her mom had passed away and she vented her grief at her costars, which she knows isn’t healthy.”
Why Fans Want Lisa Fired
Over the years, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans have petitioned Bravo to fire Lisa Rinna but after a disastrous Season 12, Bravoholics are demanding the network take action.
Lisa Rinna stirred the pot in Season 12 by creating drama using aggressive language, name calling and bullying tactics, which is her modus operandi on the show.
During Season 12, Lisa Rinna taunted, screamed at and bullied Sutton Stracke and Kathy Hilton, not only on the Bravo reality series, but on social media. Even Bravo boss, Andy Cohen, called out her wild social media behavior.
Lisa Rinna created a feud with Kathy Hilton by accusing the socialite of suffering a “psychotic” meltdown and spewing nasty insults about Kathy’s sister, Kyle Richards, her co-stars and NBC. Rinna would not let the accusations go and made it her mission to expose the socialite for her alleged meltdown during the cast trip to Aspen.
Kathy denies Rinna’s version of what happened and claims the former soap actress is trying to besmirch her good name. Kathy is no longer friends with Rinna after the tumultuous season and vows not to return to the show if Rinna remains on the cast. Kathy labeled Rinna, “The biggest bully in Hollywood.”
Fans have overwhelmingly taken Kathy Hilton’s in this feud.
What Did Lisa Rinna Do To Sutton
Rinna and Sutton’s feud started before RHOBH season 12 began. Sutton appeared on Watch What Happens Live and mentioned that Rinna had not thanked her for inviting her to an Elton John charity gala. Rinna retaliated by claiming Sutton had canceled their table and verbally berated her on numerous occasions, even going as far as rudely kicking her out of her home. Throughout season 12, Rinna relentlessly badgered Sutton or cheered on as others belittled the 51-year-old mom of three.
Producers Are Fed Up
Bravo producers are tired of covering up Lisa Rinna’s troubling behavior that often crosses the line, especially in Season 12.
RHOBH producers heavily edit Rinna’s explosive scenes, between her and various cast members. Editors are often forced to leave partial scenes of Rinna using expletives while screaming in her co-star’s face, on the cutting room floor because of the backlash it would create, All About The Tea has learned.
Rinna’s lack of self control affects the entire cast, who feel they must either mimic her behavior or become a target of hers.
Production likes the ladies to deliver the drama but not at the expense of negative public scandals, like four caucasian adults sitting around laughing at a 14-year-old African-American boy being berated or Rinna drawing heat for her disparaging comments about Garcelle Beauvais and the cast of The Real Housewives of Dubai.
Producers are seriously considering replacing Lisa Rinna but do not want the Bravo reality series to become stale, an insider revealed.
Andy Cohen Considering Firing Lisa Rinna
Lisa Rinna’s future with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is not certain, as Andy Cohen says “everything is on the table.”
Andy Cohen addressed Rinna’s employment status when speaking to Entertainment Tonight on October 19.
“We kinda have those discussions now through the end of when the reunions air,” Andy Cohen told the outlet. “I think the key to the success to this thing, that it’s been going for 16 years, is that we take people out, we put people in, and we try to keep it fresh. In terms of specifics of Rinna and anyone else, I think everything is on the table, but nothing to announce about that right now.”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently on hiatus.
