Barry Plath is looking better than ever since his separation from Kim Plath!
Welcome To Plathville stars Barry and Kim announced their split in June 2022 with a statement to PEOPLE. The former couple shocked fans when they told the world they had decided to end their marriage. “While this was not an easy decision, we know it’s the best choice for both of us. We have been through many highs and lows in our 24 years of marriage and as we navigate this new chapter in our lives, we will co-parent our amazing children.” Fans were worried about Barry after the couple’s split, but it seems he is doing great and has even lost a few pounds.
Barry doesn’t have his own social media, but fans got to see him on his son Isaac Plath’s instagram. In October 2022, Isaac posted a photo of himself, his father, and his sister, Moriah Plath. Welcome To Plathville fans pointed out how great Barry looked in the comment section. One person wrote, “Single life is looking good on old dad! As a matter of fact, it appears it was just what he needed. He looks healthier and maybe even happier.” Someone else said, “Your father is looking good.” A third fan wrote, “First time I saw your Dad on tv he creeped me out now I have to say since he and your mom split he has changed so much in a good way. Healthier, relax and much happier.”
Despite the couple’s separation, they have not made any legal steps to begin their divorce. According to In Touch, neither Barry nor Kim have officially filed for divorce as of late October 2022. During a June 2022 episode of Welcome To Plathville, Kim told her husband that she was not happy, and moved to a rental property. After the mother of 10 left, Barry said he felt betrayed and had to assume the role of single parent to their younger kids. “One thing I thought wouldn’t ever be shaken was us. Now it’s totally shaken up. It’s just really sad. It’s a tragedy,” Kim said in a confessional. “Now it’s gotten to the point where I’m ready to leave the marriage, now he cares. But I feel like if I was really worth it, he would have listened earlier.”
Kim and Barry share 10 kids together — Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, Mercy, and Joshua.
