‘Sister Wives’ Fans Slam Kody Brown for ‘Destroying’ His Family Amid Split from Christine!

Christine Brown has landed in the hot seat for splintering the Brown family — but Sister Wives fans are placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of Kody Brown.

The show has been documenting the ex-couple working through some logistics of their breakup amid Christine’s plan to move to Utah with their preteen daughter, Truely. Kody and Christine announced that they were parting ways, in November 2021. 

Meri and Robyn Brown discussed the family shift during Sunday’s episode, acknowledging that Kody didn’t fight hard enough to save the spiritual marriage. They also expressed frustration that Christine was leaving them, as well. 

“I’m feeling betrayed,” Meri explained. “It just makes me think it was all a lie all those years. She always said how much she wanted the sister wives.”

Kody’s first wife added in a confessional spot, “I felt like Christine was more than a sister wife. I felt like she was a friend for a lot of years. We believe that this is the family structure for us and now all of a sudden everyone’s just changing their mind because it was hard?”

Meri, who shares only a platonic relationship with Kody, told Robyn that she was taking Christine’s decision to leave “personally” and was “pissed off” over the situation.

Robyn previously noted in a personal interview — “Supposedly it doesn’t affect us because we’re not part of their relationship, but that’s bullcrap. It’s so crazy to sit there and watch this big bomb going off in my family.”

Kody, 53, shared some pointed thoughts on the matter in a previous episode.

“It feels hostile to me,” the TLC patriarch said. “I feel like she’s done this as a backstab because she could’ve started talking to me about our relationship a long time ago. And she didn’t, and she drops this on me … and to me it seems really, really rushed. She’s been ready to get out the door from the time that she told me she wanted to stop staying [here].”

Fans have only supported Christine and continue to slam Kody for causing the issues that plague his family. 

Fans ripped into Kody on Twitter after Sunday’s episode played out.

One fan wrote—“It’s really rich that Meri and Robyn are sitting around talking about Christine breaking up the family when it’s actually Kody who has been destroying the family with his narcissism, favoritism, and selfishness.”

Another pointed out—“Kody is such a moron. He’s put Robyn on a pedestal for YEARS and has the audacity to be furious because Christine has had enough of his shit.”

One viewer tweeted—“I would venture that Christine’s decision to leave Kody has an awful lot to do with how he treats their kids. Nothing will make a woman fall out of love faster then mistreating or neglecting her children. The bloom literally rotted off that rose.”

Another person said—“Christine has never said one bad word to her kids about their dad nor shown her true feelings about him to them. Never. But Kody? Kody constantly shows his thoughts and feelings regarding their mother through his behavior. Fuck him.”

A fan chimed in—“Kody tge [sic] reason Christine can move on cleanly is because you were a mean, heartless man who emotionally abandoned her years ago. She will find someone who truly wants to SHARE a life w her.”

Another added—“Robyn is selfish AF. Meri is delusional AF. Janelle is a ride or die friend. Kody is trash.”
