Erika Jayne Calls Sutton Stracke’s Concern Over Her Alcohol and Pill Use ‘Ignorant’ and ‘Hurtful!’
Erika Jayne fired back after her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Sutton Stracke, expressed concern over her use of alcohol and prescription pills.
Sutton spoke out about the situation during the October 21 episode of the RHOBH: After Show, sharing that she initially believed that Erika’s unbalanced behavior was a “schtick.”
“I saw a little bit of it in Mexico, but I didn’t really, to be honest, I didn’t really believe it… I thought it was a schtick,” Sutton explained. “So I’m learning this, and what I’m hearing is, antidepressants, Xanax, and alcohol… [And] what I have witnessed is my father on antidepressants, Xanax, and alcohol. And it’s a very, very dangerous combination.”
Sutton explained that she was concerned about Erika’s drug use and wanted to help.
“It’s something I feel very strongly about, and what can we do? Now I’m gonna step in. Now I wanna know, really what’s going on? Her life is a mess. Do the drugs camouflage everything so that you’re not really dealing with it?” she wondered, seemingly insinuating that Erika was self-medicating to avoid dealing with issues.
Erika fired back at Sutton’s characterization and rejected the idea that she should be criticized for her self-care decisions.
“No one should question what I’m doing with my medical health. I had a very hard time, and I was adult enough to go seek help,” Erika said. “To hear someone on the sidelines of my life criticize what I did for the betterment of my life, my daily life, and my stability, is… Not only is it ignorant, it’s hurtful.”
“Part of me [was] like, ‘Hold on a second. Who the f-ck are you to tell me what to do medically?’ Last time I checked she wasn’t an M.D.,” Erika added, noting that Sutton should perhaps “see a psychiatrist” herself.
Dorit Kemsley chimed in, asking — “Who is anyone to say what someone should or shouldn’t be taking?”
Erika commented that Sutton should be more sensitive to people struggling with mental health challenges, especially considering the suicide death of her father.
“She’s been very upfront about her father committing suicide. Did he need help? It would seem, yes, maybe,” Erika pointed out.
“[Sutton]’s also a mental health advocate on Instagram for the month of mental health. So what is it?” Erika asked. “Are you supportive of people and their mental health [or] are you not supportive? … Or you’re supportive when it’s convenient?”
Dorit added—“It just feels like a lot of contradiction a lot of times. It’s very difficult to trust someone’s best intentions, especially when they say over, ‘I’m a very good person.’”

In late September, Sutton admitted that she would “never” call Erika a true friend.
“I can’t let it go and I don’t trust her,” she stated on September 28 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “You try having someone say that they played you and then call you a terrible name. How do you move on from that ever? Do I enjoy her sometimes… Like, her company is kinda funny. I don’t wish her harm. But she’s not a friend… She never will be.”
