Kyle Richards Did NOT Defend Sister Kathy Hilton Because She Believes Lisa Rinna’s Allegations
Kyle Richards is addressing why she didn’t defend her sister Kathy Hilton against Lisa Rinna’s attacks at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12 reunion.
Kyle Richards appeared on Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, “Two T’s In A Pod,” on October 28, to answer many burning questions from the explosive RHOBH reunion.
Many fans questioned why the Halloween Ends actress failed to defend her older sibling. Lisa Rinna accused Kathy Hilton of suffering a mental breakdown and hurling insults at Kyle and her RHOBH co-stars, in Aspen.
Kathy has vehemently denied the allegations but Kyle Richards clearly believes Lisa Rinna’s claims over her own sister. “When you are hurt by somebody it’s not always so cut and dry,” Richards told the podcast host.
“I am not subscribing to the idea that you stick with family no matter what, because sometimes when you are treated really poorly, you have to take a step back,” Kyle said of Kathy. “Regardless if you are blood or not.”
Kyle Richards talked about her unique family dynamic that’s deeply rooted – that fans will never understand, therefore making it impossible to side with her own sibling.
“I didn’t want to,” Kyle explained while making it clear she was glad Kathy apologized. “I just didn’t want to. Why would I?”
As AllAboutTheTea.com readers know, Lisa Rinna, made some damning allegations against the socialite during a cast trip to Aspen in February 2022. Rinna accused Kathy of dogging her sister Kyle, her RHOBH co-stars, Bravo and NBC.
“We get in the sprinter van and Kathy starts screaming about everything,” the former soap opera actress claimed. “And she’s saying things like, ‘I’m going to take down NBC, Bravo … I will take down this show single-handedly. I will f**king ruin you all.’ What in the holy f**king hell?”
“She said ‘I will destroy Kyle and her family if it’s the last thing I ever do,’” Rinna said Hilton declared about her younger sibling.
