‘Sister Wives’ Fans Blast Meri Brown for Hypocritical Instagram Post!

Sister Wives fans called out Meri Brown on social media Thursday after the TLC star announced that she was “just over here enjoying my life.” 

Kody Brown romantically discarded his first wife years ago, and fans constantly encourage Meri to walk away.   

Meri captioned a selfie, “Don’t mind me! Just over here enjoying my life!
I work hard and I play hard. I live life happy and to the fullest. I celebrate my wins, I cheer my people on. I don’t let things get me down, at least not for long. (We all need to take a breather once in a while lol!)” 

Meri remains devoted to Kody, despite him reiterating that their relationship will never move past a platonic friendship.

She added — “Listen friends, you are worth DOING what you want, GETTING what you want, LIVING how you want. Don’t feel like you can right now? That’s ok! Get up every day with the passion to work for it! Life isn’t always easy, we gotta work for the things we want. It’s not handed on a silver platter. But how cool is that?! It only means YOU are in control of the outcome! Now go out and do something great, because YOU are worth it!”

One follower put Meri on blast in the post’s comment section for dissing her former sister wife, Christine Brown, who left her spiritual marriage to Kody, last year.

The user wrote, “Cheer your people on? You kept dissing Christine about how she was abandoning the family. Glad she left & seems to be thriving. Why stay in a loveless marriage????”

Another chimed in—“Maybe you should think about what you say when it came to Christine she doesn’t owe any of you anything. She deserves to be happy too.”

Others pointed out the contrast between Meri’s loveless TLC narrative and her upbeat social media pep talks. 

One fan noted—“Real self love is shown by good self care, good situations, and rewarding relationships, not IG posts. Just saying.”

Another said—“Your posts sound nothing like you appear on TV….hence the lack of “buy in” from your viewing public.”

One viewer wrote—“Walk the walk, Meri!”

Another person asked—“Hypocrisy is a little loud, if it’s good for you, why not Christine?”

The midseason Sister Wives trailer featured Kody reeling in the wake of his breakup from his third wife, while heartlessly dismissing Meri. 

Kody stated that he didn’t even consider himself married to his first wife, in the preview clip.

“I don’t really consider myself married to Meri,” he told cameras. “If she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn’t get an argument from me.”

Earlier in the season, Kody even suggested that Meri move to Utah to take over her family’s inn, after the passing of her mother, Bonnie. 

“Kody actually said to me the other day, he said, ‘Why don’t you just move up there?’ So I’m like, ‘Uhh, that was not my intention,’” Meri said, in response to Kody’s comment. “I told him I didn’t want to. I told him I had no intention of doing that, and he was kind of surprised. He’s like, ‘Oh, really?’ I guess I’m just still in this place with him or he’s in this place where he thinks the point of me buying this was to get away and that saddens me a lot.”
