Sister Wives: Christine & Kody Split Assets
The episode starts with Kody Brown and Christine in her garage, discussing plans to divide their assets. There’s a lot at stake, as multiple properties and various assets are involved. Christine explains that the home she resides in is in her name only and that grants her legal rights to all the proceeds once the house sells.
“In plural marriage, there’s a tendency for the wives to own the assets because if dad goes to jail for cohabitation, they’re gonna take all the property,” Kody explains “Christine’s walking away with her money from this house in this deal. She’ll be able to buy another house. Janelle [Brown] can’t do anything on Coyote Pass until we pay it off.”
Christine proposes they do a clean 50/50 split — she’s willing to give Kody (and his wives?) her portion of Coyote Pass and she’ll keep all the equity amassed from her Flagstaff home.
“If you split everything 50/50, that means I get 50 percent of everything that he has — all of his property,” she says. “That means his and Robyn [Brown]’s house, too, if he wants to go down that road and split it that way. That doesn’t make any sense.”
“Let’s just make it clean and easy — I get the house, you can have the property,” Christine concludes.
Surprisingly, Kody agrees to Christine’s proposal and accepts her deal. He tells the camera, “It will work nice and clean.” Christine politely thanks him for not complicating the process, as she prayed on the situation.
Christine reminds us that she only involved Kody in the home sale conversation as a courtesy, because the house is in her name only, therefore she’s entitled to all the proceeds of a sale. “Our marriage didn’t work, I’m moving on and I’m M-O-V-I-N-G…” She says in a talking head confessional.
Next, they discuss their bedroom furniture. Christine wants no parts of that “toxic” bed they use to sleep in. She tells Kody that she plans to sell the old bedroom set and will purchase a new one. She’s not taking any negative reminders with her to Utah.

Sister Wives: Janelle Struggles In The RV
Kody’s second wife, Janelle Brown has moved into her RV on Coyote Pass for a month now and quickly discovered life on the land is not all its crack up to be. She says it’s been a “rude awakening.”
Things are not going as smoothly as she imagined. Life has been a daily struggle — not having amenities like she would have if she lived in a house. She has to hall gallons of water to her trailer everyday to fill its water tank and Kody is no help. The scowl on his face tells us that visiting Janelle is a painful chore for him. Janelle’s not sure that living on the land in a RV is sustainable and it’s been rough on their daughter, Savannah, as well.
Sister Wives
Sister Wives: Robyn and Meri’s Heart-To-Heart
Robyn Brown pays Meri Brown a visit for what looks like to be an awkward conversation between two practical strangers discussing a private family matter. Robyn comments that the situation [Christine leaving the family] is “weird.”
Robyn wants to pick Meri’s brain on Christine’s divorce announcement. Meri says the issue is between Christine and Kody but Robyn feels it affects the wives too. Meri admits to being “angry” and correlates the breakup to Kody dumping her. She feels “betrayed” by Christine’s actions.
Also, Kody and Christine’s divorce is affecting Robyn and Kody’s marriage. Robyn says Kody is neglecting his other wives. Kody on the other-hand says he needs space to process the breakup.
Meri is taking Christine’s departure very “personal,” and Robyn doesn’t understand why they just couldn’t work things out.
Then Meri starts to tear up over her failed marriage to Kody. She says people asks her why doesn’t she just leave him since Kody’s has publicly dumped humiliated her.
Robyn is grateful that Meri is sticking it out and urges a tearful Meri to hang on with her so that the family can rebuild. The Robyn rubs the loyalty card in Meri’s face.
“What I love about what you’re doing is you’re not just making it about what’s going on between you and him,” Robyn tells Meri. “You’re making it about everybody else too.” Robyn tells Meri, “It’s not just Kody she’s [Christine] leaving.”
Robyn is holding onto the ideals of plural marriage. She sobs in a talking head confessional about having other choices and having to sit and watch the other wives destroy what she wants.
“I would never do anything to this family to hurt it. That’s who I am…what I feel. I just wish people could see that.” Robyn tells the camera.
Then the ladies talk about jealously among the wives and the double standard in polygamy if the tables were turned. Kody would never accept his wives having multiple husbands, if the roles were reversed.
Robyn reveals that Christine was talking about leaving Kody before the family’s moved to Flagstaff. The ladies believe Christine’s kids are siding with her in the divorce because they’re only hearing one side of the story.
Viewers learn through Christine that neither, Meri or Robyn, reached out to her after she announced the split — only Janelle did.
Kody then sums up his “struggling” plural marriage dynamic as “dysfunctional” — admitting that he only stays married to his multiple wives for the sake of his children.
“We worked as a family, though dysfunctional, for years, long before Robyn was here, struggling through relationships. But we were making it work for the sake of the kids.” Kody Brown admits in a talking head confessional. “And that was my whole goal, was so that, we could have these children have a really quality experience with one another and with us.”
Robyn then says she would even prefer Christine stay in Flagstaff, live on Coyote Pass and date other men. Kody believes Christine is in a rush to get to Utah to be near her family and meet her future husband.
Sister Wives
Sister Wives: Goodbye Toxic Bed
Back at Christine’s, she reveals that she sold their marital bed and she’s over the moon with joy (You know the same bed Kody refused to make whoopie in with her). Christine reveals that she’s not taking any of Kody’s toxic energy into her new home. She talks about wasting many years with a man that did not deserve her and having to start over at 49, but she’s hopeful to find someone that will love her because she loves herself. You go girlfriend!

Sister Wives: Ysabel Is Off To College Without Kody
It’s moving day for Ysabel, who is off to college in North Carolina. She plans to live with her sister, Maddie, brother-in-law Caleb, and their kids. Ysabel’s driving cross country with mom, Christine, and sister, Truely. Dad Kody opted not to join them on the road trip. He has young children he can’t be away from for long. Kody helps them pack their car and Ysabel sheds some tears as she embarks on her new adventure.
Christine realizes that her kids don’t know their father and don’t have a close bond with him. This disheartening realization upsets her.
“The hardest part of my whole life is that my kids don’t have a great relationship with their dad.” An emotional Christine shares in a talking head confessional.”He doesn’t even know them. You know what’s sad too, is they don’t know how amazing he is either.”
She continues, “Kody has this awesome side to him that my kids don’t know and who I fell in love with. Of course he’s no longer that person and neither am I.”
Kody explains that he has 18 kids and spread thin. A defeated looking Kody says he doesn’t know what has happened to his life and how he’s loss his way.
