Erika Jayne Canceled For Repeating Homophobic Slur At Explosive ‘RHOBH’ Reunion
Erika Jayne is getting slammed for repeating a homophobic slur that she accused Kathy Hilton of using at The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12 reunion.
Erika Accuses Kathy
During the conclusion of the three part reunion that aired on October 26, Erika Jayne accused the philanthropist of calling an Aspen club manager, “an old f–king f-g,” after he denied to play Michael Jackson.
Erika Jayne, 53, is the only cast member to have heard the slur in a crowded bar in Aspen, Colorado.
Kathy Hilton, 63, denied using the slur, saying: “I will admit to what I do but I will not be painted as this monster.”
Fans Call Out Erika
Many RHOBH fans were appalled that Erika Jayne repeated the homophobic slur on camera and called her out.
One person wrote: “Erika is too comfortable to say that slur. You say the f word. What if Kathy allegedly called a black person a slur? Would you be so quick to repeat it? Or do you deem that a more serious offence?“
Another Twitter user chimed in: “We haven’t spoken enough about the fact that Erika felt very comfortable saying the F-word (homophobic slur) on national tv…”
A third commenter chimed in: “Are we all just gonna ignore Erika saying the F slur at the reunion? As the representative of the lgbt community I don’t remember us giving her the F word pass under any circumstance. Canceled! “
Another user tweeted: “Why is the gay community so silent about Erika using a gay slur? Like I don’t care whether she was quoting Kathy or not. Cis-women should not be able to utter that word ever, in any context. Especially to create a dramatic reality TV moment for themselves.“
Someone else pointed out: “All these folx excusing Erika’s “repeating a slur” are telling everyone exactly when they use that slur & other slurs. It’s a common tactic by those with privileged identities to denigrate others with slurs by “simply repeating” what someone said. We see you.”
Reunion Nightmare
Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion was described as a “nightmare” by Kathy, who was in the heat seat for most of Part 3, and battled Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne and sister Kyle Richards.
Kathy was accused of suffering a “psychotic break” in Aspen, Colorado by Lisa Rinna — during a heated moment where she allegedly dragged her RHOBH co-stars and sister Kyle.
Erika Vs Kathy
Erika claimed the Beverly Hills socialite called an Aspen club manager a homophobic slur.
Kathy denied the allegations and countered by exposing the ex pop star’s faulty credibility. Kathy brought up Erika shamelessly wearing pricey jewels and designer handbags during the Aspen trip, while owing orphans, widows and burn victims that were defrauded by Erika’s estranged husband, Thomas Girardi.
Kyle Richards Is The Mastermind
Kathy later accused her sister Kyle Richards of assisting Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne (from the background) of masterminding the “attack” on her “stellar reputation” during Season 12.
Kathy also vowed not to return to the Bravo reality series if Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne remain on the cast.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently on hiatus.
