Teresa Giudice ‘Hurt’ Over Joe Gorga Dissing Her Marriage to Luis Ruelas!
Teresa Giudice was “hurt” by comments made by her brother, Joe Gorga, at BravoCon, where he predicted that his sister’s marriage to Luis Ruelas would not go the distance.
Page Six obtained a preview to an upcoming episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s podcast, Namaste B$tches, where she addressed the “mean-spirited” remarks.
“That’s not my brother. Like, I don’t know who he is now, like, what kind of character he’s trying to play,” Teresa said.
The 50-year-old reality star continued—“I was hurt by it. Luis was hurt by it. I mean, as everyone saw, he did not come to my wedding.”
She added—“That hurt us, and by what he just did at Bravocon, that’s very mean-spirited, very sad.”
Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, appeared on a special episode of Watch What Happens Live, filmed during the New York City fan event.
Melissa was asked if she believed that Teresa and Luis’ marriage would last longer than her husband’s standup comedy career. Melissa refused to respond, but Joe happily stepped in, declaring—“I’m gonna answer the question. My stand-up career, baby!”
Teresa and Luis tied the knot in an extravagant ceremony at Park Chateau Estate and Gardens in East Brunswick, N.J, in August.
Host, Andy Cohen, and the audience appeared shocked by Joe’s comment.
Teresa shared that she believed that her brother lashed out for attention.
“I just wish that he would stop talking about us to try to make himself relevant,” she said, during her podcast.
Despite the harsh remark aimed at his sister, Joe told Page Six at BravoCon that he was over the family drama.
“At this point, I just don’t know what else to say. I’m tired. I’m tired of talking about this for 13 years,” he told the outlet.
“I’m 48 years old, and I’m happy that I woke up this morning and happy that I have healthy kids, a beautiful wife, a beautiful life, and I just want to be happy, man. This kind of drama is ruining my life.”
The RHONJ cast was separated throughout the weekend, amid various cast feuds. Andy explained that the decision was made due to the beef between the Gorgas and Teresa, but the Bravo veteran confirmed on her podcast that she did not make the request.
“I’m not the boss so that doesn’t come from me, and it’s, like, common sense, duh,” Teresa said in the podcast preview. “We haven’t had our reunion yet, so of course they want to keep us separate. They didn’t want a reunion to happen at BravoCon.”
Andy explained the situation to fans during an “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon.
“We’re on the precipice for a really great season of ‘New Jersey’ airing, so we’re in a really limbo-y place where if we bring them all out together, they’re in a different place than they were the last time we saw them all as a group,” the Bravo boss said.
He added—“I think it’s better to let the show live on air and let you guys see the show and pick up with everyone at the next reunion show. It’s a balancing act because you want things to play out on TV, but here we are, and I want to give everyone a good time, so it’s a little bit of a juggling act.”
Teresa also revealed that “a lot” would be addressed at the RHONJ reunion, and vowed to be “done” with fighting with her family.
