‘RHOBH’ REUNION RECAP: Kathy Hilton EXPOSES Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne As Liars With Ulterior Motives
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12 reunion concluded with Erika Jayne in the hot seat for not returning her infamous diamond earrings. Kathy Hilton hits the stage for an epic showdown with Lisa Rinna and Erika over the Aspen drama. Kathy and Kyle Richards’ fallout takes center stage as their relationship hangs in the balance.
Lisa Rinna’s Tequila Diss
Host Andy Cohen questions Lisa Rinna about her intentionally ordering Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila in Aspen over Kathy Hilton’s brand, Casa Del Sol. Lisa was caught and could do nothing else but apologize for her shady actions, “I’ve been very supportive of Kathy’s tequila,” Rinna claims. “So the way that it played out, I’m sorry if it hurt Kathy’s feelings. It was never my intention to do that.”
Kyle then becomes a hysterical mess — saying Kathy was upset with her for not confronting Lisa about the tequila-slight. “What am I supposed to say to her? You’re not allowed to order another tequila?” Kyle asks her sister. “So it was my fault like everything always f–king is.”
Kyle adds, “It’s not fair to me the way I’m treated like that. It’s not right.”
Kathy Explains Aspen Drama
Kathy joined the reunion stage in a classy pink satin Oscar de la Renta dress, that featured a knee-length A-line skirt. Kathy began by going into detail about what initially set her off during their night out at Aspen’s Caribou Club, “I’m thinking, ‘Alright, I want everybody to have fun.’ I go over to the DJ, he’s got headphones, he’s looking down.” She admits, “He doesn’t see me, so I get frustrated.”
Kathy explains that she spoke to a manager, “‘If I gave you some money would you put some songs on for us, my friends and I, to dance?’ He said, ‘No, no. It’s way too busy in here. Not tonight.'”
But her repeated request “annoyed” the manager, “He looked at me and said, ‘Where are you from?'” she recounted. “I said L.A. He goes, ‘Then go back to L.A.’ So I go, ‘We’re out of here.'”
Kathy signaled Kyle to leave the club with her but Kyle got an attitude and refused. “Kathy, it’s the way you speak to me,” Kyle asserted “You didn’t say, ‘This guy just hurt my feelings, I’m so embarrassed.’ You said, ‘We’re out of here.’ Everybody saw. You looked at me like you’re f–king leaving now…I’m an adult, you can’t talk to me like that.”
Erika Accuses Kathy of Using A Gay Slur
Erika Jayne claims Kathy Hilton called an Aspen DJ an “old f–king f-g” after he denied her request to play Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean. She said, “I see Kathy coming from the dance floor, very upset.’ She continues, “I say, ‘Kathy, what’s wrong?’ She says, ‘The DJ’s an old f–king f-g,’ and walked off.” “I see Kathy coming from the dance floor very upset,” she recounted. “I say, ‘Kathy, what’s wrong?’ She said, ‘The DJ’s an old f—king f—-t,’ and walked off. That is what happened.”
While Kathy admits that she was frustrated, she vehemently denies using the gay slur. “I will admit to what I do, but I will not be painted to be this monster,” she stated, adding that she would “never, ever” use that word.
“Nobody else heard that,” Kathy insisted, to which Erika replied, “No, you said it to me directly.”
The philanthropist retorts, “Anyone who knows me knows I don’t talk like that.”
Andy Cohen revealed Bravo’s HR department investigated the claim and concluded, “it came down to she said, she said,” he explained. “It was inconclusive.”
Kyle said, “I just want to be clear, I never heard that word said,” she insisted. “I never heard that.”
Kathy Confronts Lisa Rinna
Kathy came prepared to slay the dragon! During the season, Lisa Rinna said that she suffered PTSD due to the incident in Aspen, where she claims Kathy hurled insults at her sister, Kyle Richards, and her co-stars, calling them “useless” and “pieces of s–t.”
Kathy denies saying most of that but acknowledges she said, “I feel dismissed. I feel like Kyle hates me sometimes,” to Lisa in that heated moment.
Kathy revealed Lisa agreed and supported her comments about Kyle and the other ladies, “Halfway through it do you recall saying, ‘I get it, I get it. You’re preaching to the choir.’ Do you remember those words?” Kathy added, “Lisa, you are going to take a lie detector test.”
Kathy Confronts A Bully
Kathy accused Lisa of trying to damage her reputation to secure her job and ratings. “You did it on camera because you’re contract was coming up and you needed some drama because you fight with everybody.”
Kathy drove home her point by laying out Lisa’s extensive history of harassing previous cast members.
“You drove Lisa Vanderpump off the show, what you did to my sister [Kim Richards], you’ve had problems with everybody. With Camille Grammer, I mean the list can go on and on. And then saying you’ve been bullied? You are the biggest bully in Hollywood and everyone knows it. You’re mean and you don’t tell the truth.”
Lisa backed down after Kathy stood her ground, then said this is between sisters and she’s removing herself, “I let it go right here and now,” Lisa said to the group. “I will absolve myself from it from this day forward. I guarantee you that. And I wish you only the best, I really do.”
Kyle’s Tears
Kyle becomes emotionally distraught and overwhelmed tears that she could barely talk. She believes the war between Lisa and her sister, Kathy, puts her in the middle.
“I’m sorry, I have a lump in my throat and I can’t talk right now,” a dramatic Kyle says, “I feel very put in the middle of this whole situation. Obviously my sister’s my sister. My feelings were very hurt. I feel like I always get the blame for things in my family like the thing at Kemo Sabe. I didn’t f–king do anything and then when this whole thing came out it just made it worse and set us back. The only one it hurts is me, I’m the one who gets f–ked.”
Kathy feels Kyle’s not supportive and admits their relationship is “not good” at the moment. Kyle added, “It spills into my kids and her kids, who I love a lot.”
“I need to end up in a better place here with her than when she came,” Kathy said “I don’t know,” dismissing a surprised Kyle, adding, “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Kyle’s A Wreck – The End
The Season 12 reunion wraps with an emotional exchange between the sisters. Kyle continues to sob uncontrollably and press Kathy for resolution over the situation. But Kathy is over the BS and tells Kyle, “You’re acting like a martyr like it’s just you and that’s not fair to me.”
“I’m not acting like a martyr,” Kyle responds. “I’m sorry that I’m emotional and I get upset about things.”
Kathy joins her team backstage and calls the reunion a “nightmare,” as Kyle cry noisily on the couch. “I really can’t sit here right now. I can’t do a fake toast,” Kyle says.
