‘Southern Charm’ Star Naomie Olindo Sued for Fraud!
Southern Charm star, Naomie Olindo, is getting sued by her business partner, Virginia ‘Ginny’ Cox, because of fraud!
L’Abeye co-founder, Virginia Cox, is suing her partner, Naomie Olindo, for breach of contract and fraud. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Naomie had been deceptive when it came to the state of their company finances. As per Cox’s court filing, she stated, “At times, Olindo would mention to Plaintiff that their account funds were low and Plaintiff would question Olindo about the low funds because of the amount of revenue and profit that L’Abeye appeared to be making. Subsequently, Olindo excluded Plaintiff from any information about the finances.”
“Because Olindo was controlling the bank account, Plaintiff was unaware of the amount of funds that Olindo was misappropriating.” Virginia also revealed in the filing that the Southern Charm star approached her in 2018 to help set up L’Abeye because of her background in merchandising. Cox was ultimately fired illegally by Naomie on May 19, 2022, with her claiming that the University of South Carolina graduate didn’t have any ownership interest in the company. Cox also claimed that Olindo has been blackballing her by urging prospective employers not to hire her after they stopped working together. Virginia is suing her former partner for 14 actions including breach of contract, fraud, defamation, and dissolution of a partnership.
Virginia also claimed in the filing that she has “suffered and/or will continue to suffer mental pain and suffering, mental anguish, intimidation, embarrassment, and lost income” due to Olindo’s claims that she allegedly stole from her. Naomie has denied the claims from her former business partner. Through her attorney, Olindo said, “Our client does not comment publicly on pending litigation. However, obviously these allegations made by a disgruntled former employee are false and misleading. We will soon be filing a formal response to these allegations that will help to set the record straight.” Naomie’s statement doesn’t resemble her attitude in 2018 during the launch of L’Abeye when she bragged about being partners with Cox.
The Southern Charm star told FitsNews in August 2020, “I launched L’ABEYE in June 2018 with my partner Ginny Cox.” The Bravo star also told the news outlet about Cox, “She had retail/ fulfillment/ buying experience, is smart, hardworking, and we vibe very well together so I thought it would be a good fit. It was more of a hobby at that point and we had no real expectations.”
