‘RHOBH’ RECAP: Andy Cohen Blasts Lisa Rinna For Her RACIST Social Media Behavior!
Part two of the Season 12 The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion continues with Garcelle Beauvais and Diana Jenkins fighting over various accusations including the BOT attack on Garcelle’s son. Sutton Stracke confronts Lisa Rinna over her bullying. Garcelle learns Lisa was the one that trashed her book. As Kyle Richards anxiously anticipates her sister’s arrival, Kathy Hilton arrives with tequila in tow.
Diana Files Lawsuit
The Season 12 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion began with Garcelle Beauvais telling Diana to stop attacking her on social media, especially after the drama with Garcelle’s 14-year-old son Jax, who was viciously attacked online by anonymous accounts.
Diana reveals that she filed a lawsuit to unmask the “bots,” targeting Jax with racist messages.
“I don’t hate you, Diana, I just wanna be left alone,” a frustrated Garcelle said. “I don’t want you posting about me. I don’t want you harassing me on social media. I haven’t harassed anyone here on social media.”
“Did you not go and call me evil?” Diana responds.
Host Andy Cohen asked Diana if Garcelle called her “evil” after she called Sutton Stracke a “c*nt.”
“Which is the harsher word? C word or evil?” Diana then asked the group, which prompted Andy to answer, “The C word.”
Of course, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, and Dorit Kemsley, agreed with Diana that “evil” was a much harsher word.
Diana went on to say how she filed a lawsuit to unmask the “bots” targeting Garcelle’s son one day earlier. She added, “No 14-year-old should ever go through what he went through.”
Garcelle, however, stood her ground about Diana’s social media posts about her and made it clear she’s done talking about Diana’s problematic behavior.
Who Trashed Garcelle’s Book
Before the season started, Erika Girardi was blamed for throwing Garcelle’s book in the trash earlier this year, but during the reunion, Lisa Rinna came clean and admitted she was the one that trashed the book.
Host Andy Cohen asked Lisa why she threw Garcelle’s book in the trash, and she responded that Garcelle included her daughter, Amelia Hamlin, in her book. Garcelle explained how the reference was from a previous season when Garcelle asked Lisa if she thought her almost-naked dance videos may influence Amelia’s eating disorder. Andy didn’t understand why she was pissed about the mention and Lisa claims she and Garcelle agreed kids were off limits almost two years ago, and Garcelle didn’t hold up her end of the bargain.
Lisa Rinna Put On Blast
Andy blasted Lisa for having “no impulse control” over her outlandish and downright racist social media stunts.
“Lisa, I have spoken to you about this privately many times,” Andy told Lisa. “Your social media is disastrous.”
Lisa then admitted that she has “very, very little” restraint.
“You make so much trouble for yourself. You post something and then you wind up having to delete it,” Cohen continued.
“A week or two ago, you posted, ‘I’m never posting about the ‘Housewives of Beverly Hills’ — and then yesterday, you’re posting up a storm about the reunion and what’s to come and [sharing] text messages.”
Lisa says her social media behavior is driven by the “dopamine high,” she gets from the ridiculous outburst.
Andy asked Lisa if she loves the negative attention.
“No, I don’t love it,” Lisa claims, “It gives me anxiety. You post some s—t and I’m like, ‘What is she doing?’ Like blaming production for things.”
An All About The Tea article is flashed on the screen with a headline that read, “Lisa Rinna Accuses ‘RHOBH’ Producer of Coordinating Racist Bot Attack on Garcelle Beauvais’ Son.”
A viewer asks that Lisa be put “on pause” for “posting racial microaggressions” and “just being a disaster on Instagram,” she yelled, “Put me f—ing on pause! Put me on pause. F—ing I don’t care!”
Andy then questioned Lisa about a deleted IG post in which she said she and her costars are called “racist” whenever they fight with Garcelle. She added, “That’s bulls—. I will not accept that. I will express myself when and how I want and I am not afraid of any of you hoes.”
“Well, that got a little misinterpreted,” Lisa said of the post, adding that she was directly talking “to the trolls and haters coming at me” with her comments, not Garcelle.
“Sometimes what is said is perceived differently when it comes to us,” Garcelle responds. “Therefore, if you’re not around a lot of people of color … sometimes what you say could have an undertone of being racist. It could be a microaggression.”
Lisa Blames Her Mother’s Death
A montage of Lisa’s outbursts with various cast members is shown before Andy asked Lisa if she was using the loss of her mother, Lois, for her “despicable behavior.”
“It’s really hard to come into a show like this and maybe it would’ve been better if I’d taken the time off because, you know when you’re in that deep of pain, I’ve done the best I can. I’m sorry for being crazy and a maniac and screaming and doing what I’ve done. I really just am trying to walk through life.” Lisa replies.
“Listen, it has been a very confusing time for me and I’m not going to scapegoat it and I’m not going to use it. I’m gonna say, it just is and has been a very confusing… I have been all over the place and I don’t ever remember myself being quite so all over the place but I have been,” Lisa added.
At the conclusion of Part two of the reunion, Kathy Hilton’s car pulls up outside and Kyle and Lisa immediately become shook and nervous. “Where is Kathy sitting?” Kyle whispered to Andy, who responded, “Next to you.”
Lisa starts pacing the floor, chanting “Just tell the truth,” adding. “All I have to do is tell the truth. That’s all there is. I don’t have to do anything else.”
The third and final part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion airs next Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 8pm ET, on Bravo.
