Andy Cohen Calls BravoCon Fight Between Jennifer Aydin and Joe and Melissa Gorga ‘Gross!’
Andy Cohen was not pleased to hear about the altercation that went down between Jennifer Aydin and Real Housewives of New Jersey couple, Joe and Melissa Gorga.
Entertainment Tonight asked the Bravo boss to weigh in on the drama and he commented — “I think it’s gross. Period dot.”
Jennifer, a loyal supporter of Teresa Giudice, mixed it up with the Gorgas on Saturday after they crossed paths in the lobby of Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel in New York City.
Multiple reports claimed that Melissa instigated the confrontation after she called her co-star a “loser, f–king loser wannabe,” prompting Jennifer to fire back a “shut the f–k up.” Joe reportedly stepped in to defend his wife, telling Jennifer — “Shut up you dirty f**king bitch.” It was reported that Jennifer, who was with her assistant at the time, supposedly tossed her plastic cup in response.
Jennifer’s assistant put out a video offering her own play-by-play analysis of what she witnessed. She claimed that it was Joe and Melissa who started the fight, adding that Jennifer was in a “vulnerable” state, as she was without her husband by her side.
Jennifer denied that she threw anything at Joe, clarifying in a circulating DM that she tossed her water at Tom Minion, the couple’s “talent guy,” who purportedly told her, “you’re low class and trash.”
“I then told him ‘Get the f**k away from me! Stay back!’ And then when he didn’t I chucked my drink which was water with melted ice, by the way, in his face and threw my plastic cup,” Jennifer explained in the message.
Andy confirmed during BravoCon that they had divided the cast into separate panels because of the ongoing family feud.
“They’re really not in a good place, as you might have gathered,” Andy told the audience, during the “Ask Andy” segment of the three-day NYC event.
The most recent drama occurred during the filming of the upcoming season finale episode. Teresa brought up allegations that accused Melissa, 43, of cheating on her husband with 31-year-old actor, Nick Barrotta. The spotlighted rumor caused Melissa and Joe to boycott Teresa’s lavish wedding to Luis Ruelas.
Joe told Page Six over the weekend that he hoped that the family upset would soon come to an end.
“At this point, I just don’t know what else to say. I’m tired. I’m tired of talking about this for 13 years,” Joe told the outlet last week, noting the on-and-off drama between the co-stars since Melissa joined the cast in 2011.
“I’m 48 years old, and I’m happy that I woke up this morning and happy that I have healthy kids, a beautiful wife, a beautiful life, and I just want to be happy, man,” he continued. “This kind of drama is ruining my life.”
