Wendy Williams Checks Out of Rehab … Swears She’s ‘Better Than Ever!’
Wendy Williams is out of rehab and ready to get back to her normal life and work!
The Wendy Williams Show host said she is feeling better than ever after spending time at a rehab facility. Wendy has been in the facility since August and seems to be doing better than ever before. The former DJ released a statement through her representative, Shawn Zanotti, to Page Six, which read, “We are happy to report that Wendy Williams is home and healing after being in a wellness facility since August.” He continued to say, “Wendy is excited about the road ahead and looking forward to releasing her many projects.”
The former show host had a message to her loyal fans who have supported her all this time. “Thank you to my fans for your love, support, and many prayers, I am back and better than ever,” Wendy said. The TV personality’s representative also said that she is now at home and focused on her healing and going back to work. Earlier this year, Wendy mentioned her desire to start a podcast show after her daytime talk show was canceled. Fresco by Scotto owner, Rosanna Scotto said that, according to Williams, she wants help opening her own restaurant.
Rosanna said about her conversation with Wendy Williams: “The last time I talked to her she’s like, ‘OK, Rosanna, I am coming to Fresco and I want the meatballs and then you’re going to help me open up my own restaurant.’ And I’m like, ‘What, sister, you wanna take my people away to your restaurant?’” The Good Day New York co-host also joked, “I don’t know if she wants me to waitress or what? but she did tell me she wants to open her own restaurant and she wants me to help… If there is [a restaurant] from Wendy, it will be big competition but I love her.” Williams checked into the facility two months ago after her talk show was canceled.
In September, sources close to the host revealed that she had a relapse with alcohol and had to be checked into a facility. “It’s gotten worse. She went from wine to straight up vodka.” They also said Wendy’s former production company, Debmar-Mercury, refused to get her help when she needed it the most. “They turned their backs on her. They had too much control over someone so vulnerable.”
