‘90 Day Fiancé’s’ Debbie Johnson Admits That Her New Boyfriend Might Be a ‘Psycho!’
Debbie Johnson took a risk for love on Monday’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life episode, but admitted that she may have jumped too soon during her visit with Canadian beau, Tony.
Debbie reunited with Tony after flying to Canada only weeks after the new lovebirds connected for the first time in Las Vegas. The Canadian gent affectionately greeted the 69-year-old widow at the airport before they headed to Tony’s home. Debbie explained that she had rented her own car, just in case she needed a quick getaway.
“I rented a car because if he and I get in a fight or something, I can leave. I don’t know this person, I really don’t know him. I think I do. But I do watch crime shows too,” she noted in a confessional spot. “I’m not stupid.”
She added— “For all I know, Tony could be a psycho. I could end up in his basement, trapped. I don’t know what I’ve got myself into.”
Debbie shared that she felt both “excited” and “nervous” on her way to visit Tony, 69. She explained that she hoped to discover if she really wanted to uproot her life in the states to move in with her new boyfriend.
“The main thing I wanna find out on this trip is how we co-exist,” Debbie said. “If I don’t feel comfortable in his house or if he does not feel comfortable with me in his house, it’s not gonna work.”
Debbie expressed shock as she entered Tony’s house, as the space was heavily decorated with dragons and skulls.
“It’s not exactly what I expected to see,” Debbie confessed.
Debbie woke up the next morning, after a “really successful night,” in a better space.
“Coming into this house last night, I was a little bit creeped out. But in broad daylight, it’s not so bad,” she said. “It’s a little less creepy. It just might take a little getting used to.”
Tony revealed earlier in the episode that he and his mother had been at odds for more than 20 years, and that he had only seen her “once in the past year.”
“That sounds like what’s happening to Colt and I, unfortunately,” Debbie remarked.
“Colt has a tendency to get on my case about things and be kind of rude or mean. I want Colt to understand that I want a relationship that’s an adult, respectful relationship,” Debbie said. “If I move to Canada with Tony, there may be a chance I may never be able to repair my relationship with Colt and that scares me, really scares me.”
Debbie and Tony sparked lots of social media chatter during their initial meeting in Las Vegas after TLC featured a steamy senior love scene in Tony’s hotel room. Cameras filmed the duo getting hot and heavy on the bed and captured Debbie and Tony waking up together the next day. Fan reaction was mixed, with some cheering on the widow and others begging the network to tone down the racy footage.
Watch Debbie’s story unfold on 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life Mondays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
