Monique Samuels & Husband Chris BLAST People Magazine For Reporting LIES…’We Are Not Separated’
Former Real Housewives of Potomac stars, Monique Samuels and Chris Samuels, denied divorce news reported by People Magazine.
In a live YouTube video, Monique and Chris set the record straight and assured fans they are still together.
The couple admitted that they were so upset about the article from People, which claimed they had gone their separate ways after 10 years of marriage.
In the following video, the two deny being separated or being on the road to divorce. Monique says, “When you say the word ‘separation,’ that insinuates the road to divorce. Are Chris and I getting a divorce? No, we’re not getting a divorce. Are Chris and I going our separate ways? Absolutely not. Nobody ever said that, OK?” Samuels also slammed the people who were praising the rumor of divorce and the possible dissolution of her marriage to the former NFL player and called them, “sad.”
The Love & Marriage: DC star added, “Have we filed a legal separation? No! Have we filed for divorce? No! Is there any document that proves any divorce filings? No! Have we separated to the extent of breaking up? No.”
Monique shared that in the upcoming season of LAMDC, she and Chris work on their marriage.
“What we were planning to showcase this season on the show was Chris and I were going through a process… in order to fix our marriage while working on our personal issues.” Monique went on to add that because of this, they decided to spend some nights apart in order to improve their relationship.
She continued, “We have multiple homes. We decided that we would spend some nights apart, so we could give each other space while we’re on our counseling journeys,” Monique explained. The former RHOP star continued, “We’ve been communicating a lot better than we have in a long time. We wanted to focus on our children, being great parents for them.” Monique clarified that despite this move, she and Chris are still together and haven’t broken up. Instead, they are just looking to improve their friendship and what would work for their marriage. Monique said she hopes that when the season finale airs, it will inspire fans to work on their relationships.
The reality star also said that her ring is still on her finger because they haven’t gotten to the point where they are done with each other. “We love each other.” Chris added that he isn’t going anywhere. “We’re going to work through this. We’re in a great place… It really was a headache, but we’ve been through so much and it’s made us tougher.”
