Kathy Hilton Rips Lisa Rinna’s Aspen ‘Meltdown’ Story — Claims Actress Said ‘I Get It!’

Lisa Rinna claimed that Kathy Hilton had a meltdown during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast trip to Aspen, but Kathy is adamantly denying Rinna’s version of the story. Rinna alleged that Kathy tore into her co-stars and made harsh comments about her sister, Kyle Richards, after she escorted her home from a private Aspen nightclub. Stories were leaked to the press amid the drama, sparking rumors that Kathy had spewed a homophobic slur after the club DJ refused to play a Michael Jackson song. 

Kathy later called Rinna “the biggest bully in Hollywood” during the Season 12 reunion trailer. Rinna leaned into the diss, claiming the title in a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post. 

Kathy spoke to Variety about the Colorado drama, and vehemently denied Rinna’s version of the story. 

“Let’s just put it this way: What I said was not what Lisa said. I was in shock. And that’s why she dragged it for so long,” Kathy told the outlet.

“I don’t even talk like that! I love those girls,” Kathy continued. “So I don’t know why she had said that. And then to say what she said about my sister. That’s how she talks. I don’t talk about ‘I’m gonna take somebody down.’” 

Kathy admitted that she did step out of line, commenting before taking a pause—“I was saying how I felt, and I did say some…” 

She added—“I said some pretty strong things. What can I say?”

The socialite-turned-reality star reiterated that Rinna did not paint an accurate picture of what went down. Kathy even claimed that her co-star indicated that she understood her position. 

“I’m telling her how I feel and she says, ‘I get it, you’re preaching to the choir.’ And then I’m apologizing to her? A few days later, I’m like, wait, what? What did you just do?” Kathy explained. 

Kathy pointed out that she had no history of displaying the sort of “nasty stuff” Rinna described. 

“I don’t talk like that. You know, if you want to play, I’ll play, but I don’t say those kinds of things,” she said. “There’s no history of that ever. So check me out: never a naked picture, never any of that nasty stuff. I know that people don’t believe it. And if they do, then I can’t change their mind.” 

Rinna took to Instagram ahead of the RHOBH finale episode to post what appeared to be a message to Kathy. 

Bravo Gossip Mongers posted Rinna’s message, which read—“I see you, I know who you really are no amount of money can hide that. Your belief system is NOT my belief system. You have spent a lot of time and money and effort trying to silence me, make me the bad guy but guess what honey, I’m like a cockroach and you can never get rid of me. I’m always gonna talk about it.” 

“The truth always comes out… always,” the actress added.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion continues Wednesday at 8 pm ET on Bravo.
