Teresa Giudice Shuts Down Rumor Claiming She Dropped Melissa Gorga Ultimatum on Bravo!
Teresa Giudice has shut down rumors that alleged that she dropped an ultimatum on Bravo over her sister-in-law’s presence on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Earlier this month, rumors circulated that Teresa had taken a hard stance with the network about remaining on the cast with Melissa Gorga.
“It’s a pretty ballsy move on Teresa’s part, but she’s had it with Melissa and her brother [Joe Gorga],” an insider told Life & Style Magazine. “She’s the OG of New Jersey, and season after season, she still delivers the goods.”
The snitch continued—“While there’s no telling if Bravo will cave into Teresa’s demand, there’s also no denying that Melissa’s star has been fading. Teresa has the upper hand here, and she’s flexing her muscle.”
The RHONJ veteran addressed the rumor on a recent episode of her podcast, Namaste Bitches.
That’s not true,” Teresa said, during the September 28 episode. “I’m not that person. I would never be demanding anything because if you act that cocky, Bravo’s gonna tell you, ‘Go take a hike.’”
Teresa called herself “very professional” and denied that she would ever threaten to leave unless a firing was involved.
“Ask all Bravo executives. I’m very professional. I’m not a diva. I’m a hard worker. I don’t act cocky. I know I’m the OG, but I don’t act that way. I’m very humble. I’m very down to earth,” the Bravo star said.
Fans know that pre-wedding drama resulted in Joe and Melissa skipping Teresa’s August wedding with fiancé, Luis Ruelas.
An insider revealed that the decision was made after “false rumors” about Joe and Melissa’s marriage circulated during the filming of the finale episode of the upcoming season.
“There was a very tense ‘Housewives’ finale filmed earlier this week,” a source told Page Six, at the time.
Melissa and Joe later addressed their wedding diss on an episode of the RHONJ star’s podcast, “On Display.”
Melissa said — “Joe and I had made a very big decision and we’re still feeling this way and this is what we have decided.”
The mom of three said—“Sometimes when things are too toxic and you try over and over and over again and it just keeps coming back around to the same thing … even if it’s family, you have to let it go.”
Joe chimed in—“I know we’re on a reality show, but if you’re pure and you’re honest and you go in with open arms, why do you have to fight? Why are we fighting? Why is this going on? Is there a jealousy thing going on? Not with us. We’re not jealous.”
Melissa clarified their comments on her Instagram Stories after fans began to chatter about the couple’s potential exit.
Melissa said—“People are taking pieces from my podcast and assuming I’m leaving the show. This is how rumors get started. I never said I was leaving the show. I was just clarifying how we felt after a difficult weekend. We have no plans on leaving. #RHONJ.”
