Vicki Gunvalson Back On ‘RHOC’ To Cause ‘Drama!’

Ex-Real Housewives of Orange County OG star, Vicki Gunvalson, is returning to season 17 of the Bravo reality series. 

According to a source close to the network, filming started off slow, so they recruited Vicki back on the show to spice things up. As per Radar Online, Vicki filmed a scene with her friends, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador. As of now, her appearance on RHOC might be short-lived since the news outlet can only confirm she filmed that one scene.

Vicki and Tamra accused Shannon of ditching their friendship after they announced they were leaving the show after season 14. Tamra said in 2020, “As soon as we’re not on the show anymore, she just doesn’t have any time for us anymore and it really just kind of hurts my feelings. It came to a point where me and Vicki really went through some hard times when neither one of us were gonna go back to the show, we really went through, what is our identity? Who are we? … I just kind of felt like I never got that, like, ‘How are you doing? How are you feeling?’ kind of thing.” 

However, Shannon disputed her friend’s claims, saying, “I am not the person to sink down to a level to argue with people — that I consider close friends — in the press or on social media. That’s not who I am, that’s not what I’m made of, so I just feel like I have a little bit more decorum than they do. I don’t wanna engage with them, except to say that the things that they’ve been saying, especially Tamra, it’s a laundry list of things that aren’t true.” Tamra Judge was officially asked to return to The Real Housewives of Orange County for season 17, but Vicki wasn’t asked to come back. 

Vicki opened up about not being asked to return, which hurt her a lot, but she understood it at the time. “It hurt. It stings a little bit — actually, a lot.” Gunvalson said that she wasn’t asked back because the network couldn’t afford her. “I did get expensive. I’m okay with that. I’m worth it. The ratings were the best they’ve ever been when we were on. You get what you pay for!” The cast of season 17 will also include Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and former RHOBH star, Taylor Armstrong.
