‘RHOSLC’ Star Heather Gay Calls New Friendship Between Whitney Rose and Lisa Barlow ‘Very Strange!’
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, Heather Gay, has labeled the new and improved friendship between Whitney Rose and Lisa Barlow “very strange.” Heather, who is also Whitney’s cousin, spoke to Page Six about the surprising relationship while promoting Season 3 of the Bravo reality show.
“Yeah, it’s very strange to me,” the 40-year-old reality star told the outlet.
“I want resolve for everyone, so I’m happy that everyone’s getting along and figuring out their way,” she added. “But obviously, yeah, I’ve been living it. This is new to me.”
Fans know that Whitney, 36, and Lisa, 47, clashed throughout the first two seasons of RHOSLC.
Whitney and Lisa’s friendship seemingly blossomed amid relationship shifts within the group—including Lisa’s conflict with Meredith Marks and Meredith’s surprise reconciliation with Jen Shah. Whitney’s friendship with Heather has also taken on-camera hits.
When Heather was asked if she believed that her co-stars had formed an alliance she quipped—“I would think that we’re way past alliances at this point. This is, like, friendship. This isn’t ‘Survivor.’”
Heather insisted that she still has “love” for Whitney despite their aired disputes.
“It appears like there’s been a major implosion. I hope that’s not the case. I mean, I love Whitney. She is my cousin. She’s ‘Bad Wheather,’” Heather said, referencing the nickname given to the pair by Lisa during the Season 1 reunion.
“I don’t know how this season’s going to play out and I’m nervous about it. I love Whitney and I’m attached to ‘Bad Wheather,’” the Beauty Lab + Laser founder added.
The Wild Rose Beauty CEO told Heather during a Season 3 preview—“You are saying our friendship is bulls–t. That hurts me, Heather!”
In a separate scene, Heather angrily said to her cousin—“F–k you for calling me a liar! … You lost me, bitch. You lost me.”
Heather and Whitney took off for Thailand at the conclusion of RHOSLC Season 3 production, to star in Season 3 of Peacock series, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
The Season 3 cast includes Heather, Whitney, Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Porsha Williams, Leah McSweeney from New York, Miami’s Marysol Patton and Alexia Nepola, and RHOP stars, Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard Bassett.
Heather seemingly reassured Whitney of their unbreakable bond while filming the spinoff series.
“If there’s anything you know about me, I’m a Stage 5 clinger,” she said. “I don’t give up on friendships, ever. Even when they’re trying to wrench themselves from me.”
