Basketball Wives’ Brooke Bailey’s Daughter Dies In Car Crash!
Basketball Wives, star Brooke Bailey, is mourning the loss of her daughter after a tragic car accident!
Brooke announced the passing of her 25-year-old daughter, Nicole Bailey, with a heartwarming post on Instagram on Monday which included several photos of her. She wrote, “Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey. This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon.” According to Radar Online, Nicole was wearing her seatbelt when the accident occurred on September 25 at around 3:17 am. She and the male driver of the Mercedes Benz S550, who was also wearing a seatbelt, both perished when the car collided with a tractor-trailer.
More details about the accident revealed that the car was going 65 miles per hour when it hit the tractor from behind. Both of the victim’s airbags were deployed during the accident. Brooke has been open with fans about how she has been coping with the loss of her child so far. The VH1 alum updated her fans on her Instagram Stories and thanked them for their support during this time. “My baby girl is so loved by all of youuuuu!!! The love and support my family has received today is unreal and so appreciated,” she gushed. “Kayla left a mark on so many lives. She entered the room and demanded respect, love, and attention. If you had the pleasure of meeting her and being friends with her, she has forever changed your life.”
Bailey also told her followers in another post that she had been praying and fasting before not knowing that it was God preparing her for this moment. She said, “Although, I was not prepared. I am grateful for the 25 years he blessed me to have HIS child. To love her, to hold her, to teach her, to comfort her. She was my happiness on Earth.” The Basketball Wives official page released a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Brooke Bailey’s daughter Kayla. Our hearts go out to Brooke as well as her family and friends during this very difficult time.”
