Kyle Richards Reveals What Sparked Drama with Sister Kathy Hilton in Aspen!

Kyle Richards is speaking out about the moments leading up to her sister, Kathy Hilton’s alleged meltdown that took place off-camera during the recently aired Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast trip to Aspen. 

Fans know that Lisa Rinna claimed that she witnessed an outburst so severe that it caused her to experience PTSD. Rinna accused the popular socialite of spewing hateful things about Kyle and her family, after verbally sparring with her younger sister. 

Rinna spilled her tea in a confessional spot and did not hold back. 

The actress said—“And she’s saying things like, ‘I’m going to take down NBC, Bravo… I will take down this show single-handedly. I will f–king ruin you all.’ What in the holy f–king hell?” 

Rinna said that things only got worse after they returned to Kyle’s Aspen vacation home. 

“I will destroy Kyle and her family if it’s the last thing I ever do,” Rinna claimed. 

Kyle spoke out about what went down between the sisters before things went sideways.  

“Unfortunately, Aspen ended on a very, very bad note,” Kyle began on Wednesday’s episode of the RHOBH After Show. 

Kyle said that emotions were running “high” at the time because the cast’s Colorado vacation was “going nonstop.” She said that she wanted to offer the women an opportunity to wind down when she invited them to a membership-only club. 

“I invited everybody to this private club that we belong to,” Kyle explained. “And we had just arrived to this place, and my sister wanted me to leave, and I basically said, ‘I can’t, my guests aren’t even here yet.’ [That] is basically what happened, and that sparked everything.”

Kathy made no secret of the fact that she was not happy, according to Kyle.

“She was very riled up. She was very heated,” Kyle’s bestie, Dorit Kemsley recalled. “Obviously, her sister, somebody that she’s had a somewhat contentious relationship with in the past, she was upset that Kyle wasn’t getting up and leaving.”

Dorit added—“There was an exchange between the two of them.”

Kyle noted that while she was accustomed to being bossed around as the youngest of three siblings, she took issue with it as a grown adult. 

“I think being the younger sister, sometimes the older sisters will be like, kind of, ‘do this,’ or ‘do that,’ and I was like, ‘What? No. I’m an adult, and I can’t have somebody barking orders at me at my age and at the stage of my life,’” Kyle explained. “As much as I love her, I was like, ‘What do you mean? I just got here.’ So that’s sort of what sparked it, and then after that, it was off and running.”
