Kathy Hilton Claims Lisa Rinna Targeted Her to ‘Save Her Job!’
Kathy Hilton seemingly believes that Lisa Rinna has taken aim at her in order to secure her spot on the next season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Kathy, 63, and Rinna, 59, have been on the outs ever since Rinna accused the socialite of having an unhinged screaming meltdown, during which she threatened to “destroy” her sister, Kyle Richards, while on a cast trip to Aspen.
“I am really trying,” Rinna said in a personal interview spot. “But I feel like I have seen the devil. And her name is Kathy Hilton.”
“She takes her glasses off, she throws them on the ground, she’s jumping up and down, breaking her glasses. She’s pounding the walls and she’s screaming [that] she made Kyle, Kathy’s responsible for Kyle,” Rinna alleged about Kathy’s behavior. “And she said, ‘I will destroy Kyle and her family if it’s the last thing I ever do.’”
Rinna claimed in text messages sent to co-star, Erika Jayne, that she had locked herself in her room during Kathy’s alleged tantrum, and even later suffered from PTSD. Kathy has yet to share her side of the story fully but called Rinna a “sweetheart” who “listened” to her during the sisterly spat. She denied ever trying to “upset” anyone.
Fans have been sounding off about the controversy ever since, with some noting that Rinna’s response was out of character for an ex-soap star who lives for messy drama. One fan floated the theory that Rinna might be working to “save her job at @kathyhilton’s expense” in a comment posted on the ‘Behind the Velvet Rope’ podcast’s Instagram page.
Rinna has been rumored to be leaving the Bravo show, at the conclusion of the season.
Kathy cosigned the viewer, writing—“so true!!! I wish I could repost this.”
Kathy has been entertaining followers on her Instagram Stories in the days since the snowy drama unfolded on the show. Fans hadn’t forgotten that it was Rinna who lashed out at her co-stars on multiple occasions this season. Rinna blamed grief over her mother’s death for her own “meltdowns” — but many viewers didn’t buy her excuse. Kathy has been posting supportive fan videos, comments, and messages.
Kathy posted a screenshot of a fan calling Rinna a “fake bit*h,” who had similarly mistreated past cast members.
The viewer wrote—”@lisarinna give it up. We’ve seen this same fake act after @lisavanderpump @deniserichards and now it’s @kathyhilton. Anyone that gets too popular gets in her sights. Fake b——.”
The popular “friend” of the cast also “liked” various comments on Twitter, with some users calling Rinna a “hypocrite” and others expressing that “all Rinna cares about is money.” Another popular opinion accused the actress of “slandering Kathy Hilton with complete lies … to smear her entire reputation.”
The network has teased an upcoming emotional discussion between Rinna, Kyle, and Kathy over the Aspen drama, which will be featured on the next episode of the Bravo show.
