There was even a moment in court when she embraced the actor’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez. A source told Us Weekly that Joelle was in Virginia to show her support for Depp. “There was no professional obligation for her being there,” the source said. They also disclosed that the two would secretly meet up in hotel rooms when they first began seeing each other.

The source also alleged that Rich is leaving her husband because of her relationship with Johnny Depp. This is not the only lawyer that Johnny has been romantically tied to. Recently, there were rumors going around that he was dating Camille, Though the lawyer came out to deny being involved with Depp.

“It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny — who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now — that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear,” Camille stated. She continued, “I care very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close. But when I say we, I mean the entire team, and of course, that includes Johnny.”

Vasquez continued to say that she has a boyfriend and is very happy in her relationship. She emphasized that it is very unethical for a lawyer to date her clients but she was not opposed to showing him compassion during the trial. “This man was fighting for his life and it broke my heart to see him day in and day out have to sit there and listen to the most horrific allegations being made against him. And if I could provide any bit of comfort, then, of course, I would do that, whether it’s holding his hand or letting him know that we were there and we were going to fight for him because he deserved it.”

Joelle represented Depp in his 2018 trial that he ended up losing since Judge Nicol ruled in favor of News Group Newspapers and Dan Wootton, The Sun‘s executive editor.
