Kyle Richards Reveals She Ordered Producers to Keep Dorit Kemsley Out of Aspen Home During Fight!

Kyle Richards spoke out about her aired dispute with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star and longtime bestie, Dorit Kemsley, during an appearance on the RHOBH After Show. Fans know that Kyle took issue with Dorit sticking by Erika Jayne’s side during a tumultuous cast trip to Aspen, Colorado, rather than participating in her planned shopping excursion. 

“I did not want to talk to Dorit. Dorit and I are very close, and I had been talking about how I wanted to buy her kids, like little cowboy boots. I was so excited. The fact that she didn’t show up because she was with [Diana Jenkins] and Erika really didn’t sit well with me,” Kyle said on the After Show.

Kyle revealed that she actually instructed the crew to keep Dorit from entering her Aspen home. 

“When she showed up at my house, I actually told the crew, ‘I don’t want to see her. Don’t let her in my house.’ It was that bad,” Kyle said. “She basically fought her way in and came into my house, and I was so upset, and she was so upset.”

Kyle confirmed that the duo’s friendship was back on track.

She explained—“I appreciated that she cared enough about me to come and push her way into my house even though I didn’t want her in my house and say, ‘I’m not taking no for an answer. You’re too important to me.’ And she apologized, and then we make up and that’s what we do.”

Fans have been slamming the RHOBH veteran as the trip continues to play out. Kyle and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, felt the heat after viewers accused them of mistreating Kyle’s sister, Kathy Hilton, during her first visit to their Colorado getaway.

The show highlighted Kathy making reasonable requests during Kyle and Mauricio’s dinner prep. Kyle slapped her sis with a “high maintenance” label in a confessional spot, sparking blowback from annoyed fans.

Lots of Twitter users took issue with Kyle putting her own sister in a room with bunk beds, while others were given more luxurious bedrooms. The Bravo star mocked her sister’s choice of handbags, in another scene. Kyle dissed Kathy’s footwear and led cameras inside her bedroom to capture her waking up in her subpar accommodations. 

Fans also ripped into Kyle for dissing Kathy’s casual style choices. Viewers seemed to appreciate Kathy’s understated look and let her sister know it on social media. Kyle was also slammed as “jealous” and “toxic” for thwarting Kathy’s tequila brand pitch.   

The controversy unfolded ahead of the cast drama that’s been teased in the press for months. Fans have already cut Kathy slack after reports alleged that she stepped out of line during the trip.

One fan recently tweeted, “WHATEVER Kathy Hilton said about Kyle in Aspen is deserved & warranted. Kyle is a disgusting person & an awful sister. She poked at Kathy the whole trip & really wanted to humiliate her sister. Kathy (and Kim!) know Kyle’s a fake, phony, desperate, thirsty bucket.”

Another agreed—“At this point, I support whatever Kathy did to make Kyle cry in the season trailer. She had it coming.”
