Wendy Williams fans were not happy when they tuned in to Sherri Shepherd’s new show and couldn’t spot their favorite producers.

Shepherd’s new self-titled talk show, Sherri, premiered on Monday during The Wendy Williams Show time slot. Sherri’s first guest on her talk show was her close friend and Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kandi Burruss. Kandi went on the show to talk about the new project she has been working on. Sherri, 55, asked, “Not only are you not broke, you are working towards an EGOT because you are executive producing ‘The Piano Man.’” Kandi quickly corrected the new host, “The Piano Lesson!” Sherri said earlier before her first show that she was nervous trying to remember everything.

Fans didn’t have a problem with Sherri’s forgetfulness during her first show, but they were sad to find out that Norman and Suzanne will no longer be part of the show. Wendy’s former supervising producer, Norman Baker, and executive producer, Suzanne Bass, were a no-show during the episode, despite reports that they are still part of the show.

One person tweeted, “#SherriShepherd’s talk show was very good. I miss Norman. Jawn Murray standing where he is standing is annoying but, it was a good show.” Another fan added, “Loving the show…but missing Norman & Suzanne….please bring them back, everything I have read says they are still working there? Congrats!.”

Before her own show began, Sherri Shepherd had been a guest host on The Wendy Williams Show since November 2021. She was standing in for Wendy, who was recovering at the time, and ended up guest hosting until the show’s finale in June 2022. This isn’t Sherri’s first talk show gig; The comedian was a co-host on The View from 2007 to 2014. Sherri also revealed some advice she was given from her former co-hosts now that she is leading her own show. She said that Joy Behar told her, “The moment you open up your mouth, half the world is going to hate you.” She added that Whoopi Goldberg told her, “It’s never about you, it’s always for someone else. So, take it off of you and know that you’re taking people on a journey.”

Sherri told the Daily Mail that fans shouldn’t expect mean jabs on her show, instead only positivity. “I’m all about positive energy. I’m about joy. I’m about kindness and laughter. Anyone that knows me will tell you just that.”
