According to In Touch, Yve, 48, appeared virtually for her arraignment over domestic violence charges against her husband. A rep for the reality TV star, Dominique Enchinton, told the news outlet that Yve pleaded “Not Guilty” during the virtual hearing. The proceedings took place via the Albuquerque Metropolitan court on Tuesday, September 6. According to online documents, Yve’s pre-trial hearing is on October 4. Yve was charged with one count of battery against a household member and one count of assault against a household member after an alleged incident with Abdelhamed.

According to Mohammed, Yve attacked him while she was trying to get access to his phone. Arellano’s legal team, however, denied these claims in a statement and instead said that the claims were fabricated to allow him to stay in the country. “Mohamed and the woman he has been cheating on Yve with have discussed his options from the very beginning. They specifically discussed a U-Visa and how Mohamed could qualify for this just in case Yve found out about his indiscretions.” After In Touch confirmed Yve and Mohammed separated in August, the Egyptian native claimed his wife cheated on him.

Mohammed said he saw inappropriate texts on Yve’s phone between her and another man which made him break up with his wife. Yve’s legal team refuted the claims saying, “The texts he found after he broke into Yve’s apple watch were from someone Yve was looking for protection from as she was scared to go out alone at that point due to Mohammed’s erratic behavior.”

Enchinton continued, “Yve wanted this to work but due to Mohammed’s obsessive and controlling behavior, as seen on the show, it was impossible to get through to him.” The TLC star’s rep also said that she was going to take legal action against Mohamed.

Arellano’s rep said, “Immigration attorney Kathleen Martinez is stepping in to file charges against Mohamed as he is committing immigration fraud. Kathleen plans to assist Yve to ensure he does not remain in the U.S. under false pretenses. Mohamed and the woman he has been speaking to have been plotting these allegations since June as a backup plan just in case Yve found out about his many indiscretions.”
