Erika Jayne Claps Back At Diana Jenkins’ Shady Donation Diss!
Erika Jayne has weighed in on her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Diana Jenkins’ decision to donate $100k to the widows and orphans victimized by her estranged ex, Tom Girardi. Tom stands accused of using $2 million in settlement funds owed to family members of victims of a Boeing plane crash, to finance his lavish lifestyle with the reality star.
The Bravo rookie announced that the donation to the family members of the Lion Air Flight 610 crash victims would be the first outreach from her newly formed Sunela Foundation, a Partner of GVNG.
Diana captioned the announcement on Instagram—“I was not aware of this tragedy until it became a topic of conversation on RHOBH. I feel so much sympathy for the widows and orphans left behind. I know firsthand the pain and suffering that accompanies the loss of a family member, having lost my brother in the closing days of the Bosnian War. I want to do what I can to support those people who suffered so much.”
Erika is a named defendant in a federal lawsuit that alleges that her estranged husband embezzled funds owed to the family members of the crash victims. The lawyer repping the family members revealed in November 2021 that financial records prove that “money that belonged to the surviving widows and orphans of the victims of that plane crash had, in fact, been used to make payments for Erika or her companies.” The lawyer and the trustee overseeing Tom’s bankruptcy case hammered out an agreement that allowed Erika to be personally sued by the widows and orphans of the crash victims.
Erika has been hit with fan backlash for showing little concern for the victims and even referred to them as “liars” on the Bravo show. Erika snapped that she did not “give a f*ck about anybody else,” in the most recent episode.
Erika appeared to throw shade at Diana’s charitable gesture when she “liked” a comment that seemingly called into question part of Diana’s backstory, outlined in her caption.
“I was not aware of this tragedy until it became a topic of conversation on RHOBH,” Diana wrote.
The comment reads—“It’s phony. She [Diana] knew about this as she brought up the dinner party when Erika threatened Sutton at Kathy’s house last season. She’s just not smart.”
Erika cosigning the comment will raise fan eyebrows, as she has remained in Diana’s corner throughout the currently airing season. In July, Erika even enjoyed a Hawaiian vacation with Diana and Lisa Rinna.
Diana’s announcement comes amid her own struggle to connect with viewers.
Last month, the mom of three landed in hot water with fans after she was accused of launching a vicious bot attack on Garcelle Beauvais’ minor son. Diana, who denied the allegation, later claimed that she had received death threats from RHOBH fans and was forced to hire a 24/7 security team.
“Diana’s team of security experts advised her to hire four personal bodyguards as they believe credible death threats have been made,” a source close to the reality star told Page Six.
“The bodyguards are 24/7,” the insider revealed. “She’s taking every precaution she can to protect herself and her family.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
