Erika Jayne Wants Nicolas Cage’s Ex-Girlfriend To Drop Lawsuit Against Her!
Nicolas Cage’s ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit against Erika Jayne and now the Bravo star wants her to drop it.
Christina Fulton, 55, who dated Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage, came after Erika Jayne in court after she accused the reality TV star of assisting Tom Girardi in his theft and fraud. Days after a Los Angeles judge ruled that there was no evidence to prove Erika Jayne had any knowledge of her husband’s wrongdoings, she is claiming Fulton’s case will also be dropped. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is asking the courts to dismiss the case and make Fulton pay for all the legal fees associated with the case.
Erika said that she and her company, “further deny, generally and specifically, that they have engaged in any wrongful conduct or that Ms. Fulton has been damaged in any amount, or at all, by reason of any act or omission.” Christina is coming after Jayne after her husband’s law firm, Girardi & Keese, embezzled her settlement money.
Ms. Fulton hired the attorneys from the firm after she was involved in a horrific car crash in 2016 and had been awarded a settlement of $900,000. Before she was fully paid, Christina alleged that the firm cashed the check without her permission, so she decided to go after the firm and everyone involved.
The actress claimed she only received $5,000 in advance and payments totaling $190,000 over a 17-month period. According to Christina Fulton, Tom allegedly used the money from her settlement to fund his lavish lifestyle with wife Erika Jayne. As per court documents, Fulton claimed, “This was a complete outright forgery as [Fulton] never endorsed this check and certainly never agreed to have it deposited. The check was never held in trust but spent. It is beyond shocking and the pale that the firm would conceal the arrival of the check and not obtain Ms. Fulton’s endorsement as required by law.”
Ms. Fulton claimed in the court documents that Erika and Tom started her company, EJ Global LLC, of which she is the sole owner “for the purpose of funneling money from Girardi Keese to benefit Erika.” She also claimed the couple used the company to avoid paying taxes.
“Girardi Keese would keep the money paid to Erika as a bogus receivable on its books and records. Erika clearly knew that for tax years 2011 to 2013, the FTB found that the entity was created as a tax avoidance entity.” A judge has not yet responded to Erika’s recent request for Ms. Fulton’s case to be dropped.
