‘RHOSLC’ Season 3 Trailer: Jen Shah Blames Assistant For Setting Her Up in Fraud Scheme!
Jen Shah claims that she “got played” by her former assistant, Stuart Smith, in the Season 3 trailer for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The preview dropped Wednesday, giving fans a peek inside the upcoming season and the months leading up to Jen’s guilty verdict.
“I got played by Stuart Smith,” Jen tells co-stars, Heather Gay and Meredith Marks. “I would not be in this thing at all if it wasn’t for Stuart.”
Stuart and Jen were arrested in March 2021 and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering. The show covered Jen’s arrest during RHOSLC Season 2. Stuart changed his plea from not guilty to guilty in November 2021.
The trailer also features footage of Jen leaving the courthouse after pleading guilty in July. Her sentencing is scheduled for November 28. The Bravo star faces a maximum 14-year prison sentence.
The indictment alleged that Jen and Stuart were involved in a “Business Opportunity Scheme,” which involved marketing services that would supposedly boost performances and profits of their alleged victims’ companies.
Meredith, 50, and Heather, 40, both traveled with their co-star to New York City for her court appearance, less than two weeks ahead of her scheduled fraud trial. Heather posted selfies of the Bravo trio while out and about in the city, including pics snapped during a morning walk on the High Line. A fan captured video footage of the outing, which confirmed that cameramen were filming the three women.
Season 3 cast members, Jen, Meredith, Heather, Lisa Barlow, and Whitney Rose will be joined by newcomers, Danna Bui-Negrete, Angie Harrington, and Angie Katsanevas.
Heather and Meredith appear to remain in Jen’s corner throughout the legal drama.
The sneak peek shows Danna telling Whitney that she knows someone who used to work for Jen who is now acting as an “informant.”
The trailer also reveals other storylines, which include Lisa’s son, Jack, debating whether or not to attend college, Whitney dealing with resurfaced childhood trauma, and Heather being shunned by her Mormon family as she prepares to release her memoir, “Bad Mormon.”
In another clip, Heather shows up on a cast getaway with a mysterious black eye.
“Heather, you look like somebody clocked you,” Lisa says.
“Well, maybe somebody did,” Heather replies.
Rumors swirl around Lisa, 47, and her business, Vida Tequila, when Meredith tells Whitney—”I just heard that she was doing favors to help get places to pick up Vida Tequila.” Whitney later dishes that she heard that Lisa performed “sexual favors” to get ahead.
Lisa tries to squash the rumor, asking—”Are you crazy?”
