‘RHONJ’ Newbie Rachel Fuda Replaces Jackie Goldschneider!
Rachel Fuda is the new cast member joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey and she will be replacing Jackie Goldschneider!
According to Page Six, Jackie Goldschneider has been demoted to a “friend” role while Rachel Fuda has been confirmed for a full-time role on the Bravo show. Rachel will be filming alongside Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, and fellow newbie, Danielle Cabral, for season 13.
Sources close to Bravo say Danielle’s full-time role as ‘Housewife’ on the show was already decided. The insider said that at first, Jackie Goldschneider, Rachel Fuda, and another possible newbie, Jennifer ‘Jenn’ Fessler, had to fight for the second full-time position and Fuda eventually got the slot.
The insider also said that Bravo waited until after filming season 13 to let the ladies know that they chose Rachel Fuda for the full-time role. Despite having the ‘friend’ role, Jackie and Jennifer still filmed just as much as the other housewives and will still be featured heavily in the upcoming season. Another source said that Jackie, 45, is unhappy with her new role; However, another insider said that she feels great about everything. “Any speculation that she is unhappy about the ‘friend of’ role is untrue. She is grateful for the opportunity to focus on her creative projects and her work as an expert in the eating disorder recovery space,” the insider explained.
In June, after rumors started going around that Jackie didn’t care if her role was diminished since she’s still filming like she used to, she told Page Six, “I don’t know that my role is diminished, but if it is, you have to believe that the universe put you in that position to raise awareness about something, and then put you on a path to continue raising awareness.” Goldschneider continued, “so whatever Bravo decides to call me, I’m here and doing the same thing, so it makes no difference to me.”
Jackie recently opened up on the show about her battle with an eating disorder and how much support she received since. “The amount of people who have reached out and told me it helped them was amazing,” she said. “It is clearly my purpose on the show.” Despite joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey through Teresa, newbie Danielle Cabral has a past in reality television.
Cabral auditioned for Jersey Shore and was in an episode of MTV’s ‘True Life’ called “I’m a Staten Island Girl.” Jenn Fessler was introduced to the group through Margaret Josephs and sources say she is “entertaining, funny and will most likely be a breakout star.”
