Kody Brown and Robyn Brown disagree over what to do next after the TLC star finds himself shut out of the home he shares with his third wife, Christine Brown, ahead of their official breakup.

“I don’t understand anything,” Kody tells his fourth and only legal wife, in a sneak peek.

Kody confirms that Christine packed up his things and ordered him out of her house, during the Season 17 premiere episode. Kody, 53, tells Robyn, 43, that he’s not sure how he landed in the predicament, in the preview clip.

Christine and Kody announced their split in November, after being spiritually married for 25 years. Viewers will see the plural family rocked in the wake of Christine’s decision on the upcoming season of the TLC show.

The ex-couple shares six children, Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 19, and Truely, 12.

Robyn encourages Kody to put in a greater effort to save the relationship, including sleeping on the couch in Christine’s home.

“Sometimes you just can’t sleep in the same bed with your spouse because you’re struggling. Maybe she just needs a break,” Robyn says in a confessional spot. “He doesn’t need to not be there. In fact, it should be the other way around. He should be there, present.”

Kody shoots down Robyn’s idea and wonders why he’s being punished amid the marital breakdown.

“I don’t want to be sexist here, but why does a guy have to sleep on the couch? It’s his room too,” the TLC patriarch asks. “What’s the point of staying the night there? It’s the walk of shame. I’m not going to do it.”

Robyn appears to stand empathetically in her sister wife’s corner, as Christine and Kody’s relationship hangs the balance.

“I feel like there’s an unfairness in plural marriage,” Robyn admits. “He’s going to somebody else’s house. She doesn’t have somebody else.”

Robyn and Kody share two children as well as Robyn’s three children from her first marriage.

Kody explains why he’s resistant to the idea of sleeping on Christine’s couch after Robyn advises him to “plan on staying there.”

“I hate the idea, because first of all, it gives Christine power over where I sleep,” he tells cameras.

Kody adds that he’s been down this road before, claiming that both his second wife, Janelle Brown and Robyn have “tried kicking me out.” He added that his first wife, Meri Brown, did it “all the time.”

“That’s a game. I don’t want to play that game,” he states. “I’m not going to play that game.”

Christine Brown

Christine recently spoke out about her new “happier” life since walking away from her polygamous marriage.

“I get to live life for me,” Christine told PEOPLE. “My whole world has changed, and every single cell in my body is happier.”

Christine told the mag that she began to feel a shift in 2018, despite her past desire for a plural lifestyle.

“I started thinking maybe this isn’t working for me,” she revealed. “And then I stopped believing in polygamy. I realized I didn’t really want to live it anymore. I didn’t like sharing a husband or feeling like I wasn’t important.”
