Ramona Singer Is DONE With Reality TV…And Here’s Why!
Ramona Singer is moving on from the Real Housewives franchise and is done with reality television!
Ramona revealed the news to Melissa Gorga while she was on vacation with her husband, Joe Gorga. During a recent episode of her podcast, ‘On Display,’ Melissa explained how she met the former Real Housewives of New York star in the Hamptons while celebrating their wedding anniversary. Melissa said that during their chat, Ramona made it clear she was done with the world of reality television and is focusing on other things in her life. After The Real Housewives of New York was canceled due to low ratings, viewers weren’t sure if Ramona would be cast in the spin-offs set to replace the show.
Melissa told the story on her podcast — “I’m just sitting there and Ramona comes walking up, she’s there in the Hamptons, she has her little lace up like – I don’t know, her boobs were popping. I have to say, they looked really good. She had her little short-shorts on, she had her hat on, she’s walking around with her little tote, and I’m like she lives, this woman lives.” Gorga also mentioned that she met Ramona there by chance. “I didn’t know she was going to be there, and you know, she was talking about how she thinks she’s done with reality television, she no longer wants to do it, she’s telling us that she’s like moving on.”
Rumors of Ramona being fired by Bravo started circulating after the network announced two spin-off shows, The Real Housewives of New York which will have a completely new cast, and The Real Housewives of NewYork: Legacy which will feature some OG cast members from the original franchise. Executive producer Andy Cohen said about the fresh new cast, “This is the most multicultural, diverse, and energetic and exciting city in America: We are searching for a multicultural group of friends who really best reflect the most exciting city in the country.”
The Twitter account, @bravobeez, confirmed the news of Ramona’s exit from Bravo with a tweet, “BREAKING: Reality star Ramona Singer has reportedly been FIRED from #BravoTV’s hit show #RHONY. Singer will not be featured in the “legacy” cast nor will she be incorporated into the reboot.”
Real Housewives of New York viewers who have been speculating for months had mixed reactions to her being fired by Bravo. One person tweeted, “wrong decision… love her or hate her ramona IS rhony & has history with every single cast member.”A second fan added, “Welp. It’s an end of an era. This is weird. Ramona is the best housewife of all time. The absolute funniest of all time. No one will ever take Ramonas place.”
