Joe Gorga Regrets Not Attending Teresa Giudice’s Wedding

Joe Gorga admitted that his future on The Real Housewives of New Jersey remains a question mark amid rumors that he and his wife, Melissa, have been axed from the cast.

The couple attended the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, the duo’s first public appearance since blowing off Joe’s sister, Teresa Giudice’s wedding to Luis Ruelas. 

Melissa, 43, and Joe, 43, bailed on the lavish ceremony after a fight went down during the filming of the RHONJ finale episode. 

Joe spoke to The U.S. Sun on the VMA red carpet and was asked if the couple will return next season.

“We’ll see. You never know,” Joe told the outlet.

Joe called the upcoming season “crazy.”

“It’s going to be crazy. It’s real stuff, it just gets better and better,” he said. “It’s 11 years in and I’m kind of shocked. I’m like really? We’re still doing this s**t?”

Joe was also asked about the current status of his relationship with his sister.

“It’s a tough one to answer. It’s sad,” he revealed.

Joe also teased that the RHONJ men get into a feud during the upcoming season that will “shock” viewers. 

Teresa and Luis tied the knot earlier this month in an extravagant ceremony at Park Chateau Estate and Gardens in East Brunswick, N.J.

Melissa, Joe, and their three children did not attend the event due to the blowout fight which occurred only days ahead of the ceremony. Bravo is expected to air the wedding as part of a spinoff special, following the conclusion of Season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Security reportedly had to separate Joe and Luis after the brawl broke out. 

An insider previously told The U.S. Sun — “Joe charged at Luis during filming after long-simmering tensions came to a head. Luis was upset that [Joe’s wife] Melissa unfairly blamed Teresa for spreading rumors about her marriage.”

“But Teresa and Luis only talked to Joe about these rumors off camera to protect them,” the snitch dished. 

A second insider claimed that the two men “had to be fully restrained by security” while filming the last scene of the season during the cast finale party.

“Somehow a physical brawl broke out, but security stopped it from escalating further,” the source added.

It was later reported that Teresa was involved in spreading cheating rumors about her sister-in-law. 

Joe took to social media on the eve of his sister’s wedding to seemingly vent about the family turmoil. The reality star wrote—“BLOOD DOESN’T MAKE YOU FAMILY” over a photo of himself with his wife, family, and friends. 

Joe spoke out about his budding standup comedy career, during his appearance on the VMA red carpet.

“I have a special coming out in October. I’m trying to not travel as much and hang out with the kids, that’s why I’m doing a special. I’m pretty good at it. It’s fun, I like it!” he shared. 

Joe added—“I love to make people laugh and talk about real life. My whole life is drama.”
