Wendy Williams son, Kevin Hunter, Jr., racked up a $100k tab on the former chat show host’s credit card before Wells Fargo froze her accounts.

Sources close to the ex-daytime diva told The U.S. Sun that the 22-year-old ran up quite a balance on his mother’s American Express Card before her brokerage accounts were frozen, in January.

Kevin Jr. spent around $100,000 on Wendy’s personal America Express card. This was her own AmEx specifically,” a source told the outlet.

The insider clarified that Kevin used a different card from the one that Wendy’s manager used to hire lawyer, Carolyn Wolf.

Kevin was demanding that Wendy’s advisor pay the bill- instead of Wendy,” the source claimed.

Sources alleged that Kevin’s runaway spending presented a red flag before the accounts were frozen.

Kevin told the outlet via a statement—”I vehemently deny any allegations of unauthorized use of my mother’s American Express Card. This is a false narrative perpetuated to justify freezing her accounts.”

A financial guardian was assigned to control Wendy’s accounts after the bank alleged that she had dementia and was a potential victim of financial exploitation or undue influence. Wendy, who was expected to regain control over her finances in July, still remains unable to access her millions. Her American Express Card is evidently mixed up in the ongoing legal proceedings.

An insider spoke out about the situation, commenting—”The court can eventually decide to give Wendy back full control over her accounts and end the guardianship- but that is up to the court.”

Wendy reportedly “still has a voice and she still has a say” when it comes to her finances, and while “she doesn’t have 100% control right now, that could all change soon depending on what the court decides.”

Wendy’s former attorney, LaShawn Thomas, previously told the outlet about a past visit to a Wells Fargo branch with her former client and Kevin Jr.. Thomas, who no longer reps Wendy, remains as counsel to the host’s ex-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr.. The attorney described an interaction that occurred at one of the bank’s brokerage offices, just days before the accounts were frozen.

Thomas claimed—”I met Wendy at the Wells Fargo branch. We went into the Wells Fargo branch and we spoke to the branch manager. We told him what was going on.”

The attorney explained that Kevin wanted to set up online banking for his mother amid the group’s effort to simply gain access to Wendy’s accounts. The trio was ultimately unsuccessful after the manager reportedly called Wendy’s financial advisor, Lori Schiller, and Wendy refused to speak to her without her attorney present.

Thomas revealed that she had been barred from any contact with Wendy last week, via a statement posted on Instagram.

The statement read— “To be clear, there was never a conflict of interest, the judge and Wells Fargo did not want me on the case because I couldn’t be bought.”

“I would never stand by and watch my client be taken advantage of so they did everything to get me out of the picture including threatening to report me to the Florida bar if I communicate with my client.”

A Wells Fargo rep responded to Thomas’ allegations, commenting—”Wells Fargo’s priority is the financial well-being of Ms. Williams and the preservation of her privacy.”
