Christine Brown made headlines after selling off the undeveloped property she purchased with her ex, Kody Brown, for a rock bottom price. The Sister Wives star, who announced that she had left her spiritual marriage in November 2021, recently sold her section of the family land, Coyote Pass, for $10, to her ex and his one legal wife, Robyn Brown. The 4.48 acres, located in Flagstaff, AZ, were originally jointly owned by Christine, Kody, and Robyn. The property was paid for in full and valued at $300k, in 2018.

She reportedly classified the land transaction as a deed of gift, asking for $10.

The document reads, per a report by Us Weekly — “For the consideration of Ten Dollars, and other valuable consideration, I or we, Kody Winn Brown and Robyn Alice Brown, husband and wife and Christine R. Brown, a single woman do/does hereby convey to Kody Winn Brown and Robyn Alice Brown, husband and wife the following real property situated in Coconino County, Arizona.”

Starcasm reports that a legal maneuver called “Nominal Consideration” could have been used in the transaction. The practice allows a person to give an amount in name only, usually $10, in order to privatize the real sale price. While private citizens often use the procedure, it especially appeals to high-profile individuals who want to keep their financial dealings under the radar.

Fans of the long-running TLC show know that Kody expressed a desire to have his own private home on the family property, last season. His acquisition of Christine’s parcel would likely allow him more freedom and opportunity to build his dream house. Kody’s first and second wives, Meri Brown and Janelle Brown, still own parcels of the Coyote Pass land.

Christine sold her Flagstaff home in October 2021 for $700k, one month before announcing her exit. Kody’s name was reportedly erased from the property, the previous year. Christine, Kody’s third wife, moved back to Utah in order to be close to her two daughters.

Fans will get an inside look at how Kody and Christine’s breakup unfolded, in the new season of Sister Wives, which premieres next month. TLC released a preview trailer earlier this month, which featured the 50-year-old mom of six packing her belongings, after making the decision to leave Kody and her sister wives.

Christine revealed that she was ending the 25-year spiritual marriage during last season’s finale.

“The intimate part of our marriage is over,” she said. “And to be honest, I’m not okay with that. I’m not okay with staying in a marriage where there’s no intimacy. That’s not a real marriage. I’m not interested in a half marriage or a partial marriage or whatever we have.”

Season 17 of Sister Wives premieres on September 11 at 10 p.m. ET.
