Jon Gosselin Says His ‘Disgusting’ Ex-Wife Kate STOLE $100K From Their Kids!
Jon Gosselin claims his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, stole $100,000 from their kids bank accounts and the former Kate Plus 8 star is not denying the allegations.
Kate Gosselin, 47, claims the money was not stolen, she simply “borrowed” the cash to “to survive.” According to legal documents obtained by The Sun, Kate confessed to making two separate withdrawals of $50,000 from two of her kids’ trusts.
The mom of 8 explained that assets from Hannah’s and Collin’s accounts were being used to “meet her and the children’s expenses,” however, she did buy a $750,000 lakeside home in North Carolina that same year.
“It’s disgusting and it’s morally wrong,” Jon told the outlet.
He continued, “Parents are not supposed to withdraw any money from these accounts without permission and without drawing up paperwork that they will pay it back — but she has produced no paperwork and no payments have been made.”
“You can’t just live off your kids’ money,” he added.
Kate Gosselin defended her actions by claiming that her eight children actually owe her thousands for private school tuition she paid out of her own pocket.
“So I mean I’m not looking to collect that but I borrowed $100,000 from the kids’ trust,” she claimed in the filing. “And it owes me $387,000 technically.”
According to Jon Gosselin, 45, the judge ordered Kate to pay back the $100k but she’s not returned the funds or made a single payment.
Jon also commented on the non-existent relationship he has with his 6 other children that live with Kate. Hannah and her brother Collin, have been living full-time with Jon since 2018, while Alexis, Aaden, Joel and Leah reside with Kate.
“[Communicating with] the children that live with Kate is very difficult because I don’t have an open relationship with them,” the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alum told ET in celebration of his sextuplets turning 18 on May 10.
“[Kate] alienated me from those kids. I think it was a poor parenting decision,” he claimed, adding, “It would’ve been much better if she would have been more open with them and explained things better.”
Jon and Kate were married from 1999 until 2009. Following their divorce, Kate was granted full custody of their kids. However, Jon didn’t agree with the decision and the pair fought over custody of their eight children for many years.
“I am free in the aspect of I have adult children now. I have my own businesses and now it’s time for me to move on,” Jon explained to The Sun.
