Victim Of Erika Jayne’s Husband Tom Girardi Suing ‘RHOBH’ Star For $11 Million Gas Explosion Settlement Money!
One of Tom Girardi’s victims is demanding that Erika Jayne appear in court to answer questions about her finances!
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Erika Jayne, is in more legal trouble after one of her estranged husband’s victims demanded that she appear in court. The victim, Joseph Ruigomez, had hired Erika’s husband, Tom, to be his lawyer during his case against Pacific Gas and Electric company. Joseph sued the company after a 2010 gas explosion that killed his girlfriend and caused burns on 90% of his body. Pacific Gas and Electric company agreed to pay him $11.5 million in a settlement, but Joseph insists that Tom Girardi never paid him despite repeated promises.
Joseph, who is owed $11 million by the disgraced lawyer, is now demanding Erika Jayne appear in court on September 26. After Tom’s company filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy, a judge signed off on Ruigomez to go after Erika personally in court. The victim wants the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star to appear in court and according to his lawyer, she will have to “provide information as to the assets, location of assets, and/or business activity of Judgment Debtors for the purpose of satisfying the judgment herein.” If the judge signs off on this, Erika Jayne might be at risk of punishment from the courts depending on the information found.
According to the lawyer, Ronald Richards, it will be a public hearing, so if Erika fails to appear in person, she will face a bench warrant. The lawyer also came after the reality TV star for a pair of diamond earrings that Tom gifted Erika when they started dating, in order to resell them and use the money to pay off Tom’s victims. The Bravo star moved to court to appeal the order to return the earrings. According to RealityBlurb, Erika plans to defend herself and keep the expensive gifts given to her by Tom.
In June, Erika said she felt dehumanized by viewers, fans, and critics who don’t know all the facts about the entire situation. “It’s not a good place to be, and I feel like the court of public opinion is also hard to navigate because people don’t have all of the facts, and they tend to gravitate towards sensationalized headlines. I think people have sort of dehumanized me into this place.”
