90 Day Fiancé’s Tim Malcolm Reacts to Sexuality Rumors After Tell-All Appearance
90 Day Fiancé alum, Tim Malcolm, took to his Instagram Stories on Sunday, August 14 to react to fan chatter questioning his sexuality. Tim’s appearance on the 90 Day Fiancé: The Couples Tell All special reignited rumors that the reality star was secretly gay.
The popular “Pillow Talk” personality readdressed the rumors, reposting a tweet that read—“The amount of gay panic that Tim has unleashed by simply having style without being gay is kind of disturbing honestly.”
Tim cosigned the sentiment, writing—“Facts.”
The longstanding rumor gained steam after Tim appeared as a sideline voice alongside fellow 90 Day star, Kenneth Niedermeier. Tim was filmed wearing slim-fit jeans, a blue t-shirt, a black jacket, and knee-high boots. Viewers chimed in on his look, with many dissing the TLC bachelor’s fashion sense.
“I feel like Veronica is somewhere texting Tim asking him WTF he’s wearing,” one fan tweeted, referring to his ex-fiancee and “Pillow Talk” partner, Veronica Rodriguez.
Another fan said—“Tim this is NOT the look.”
The North Carolina native’s sexuality made headlines last year, after “90 Day” bachelor, Jesse Meester, who is involved with Tim’s ex, Jeniffer Tarazona, hinted that Tim’s sexual orientation was behind the former couple’s lack of intimacy. TLC documented Tim and the Colombia native’s failed romance in the spinoff series, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, in 2019.
“I think it’s pretty obvious,” the Amsterdam, Netherlands, native told host, Shaun Robinson, during a virtual appearance on 90 Days Bares All.
“You see that season of her or the show, and you see the dynamic, it’s just not there,” Jesse said.
The 90 Day: The Single Life star directly addressed the buzz surrounding his sexuality in an October 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“Jeniffer’s not the only one that’s said that. Let’s be honest,” Tim said. “There’s a lot of people that have speculated that there’s all kinds of issues going on.”
“I’m almost 40 years old. I want to be in love. I know sex is an important part of love, but it’s not everything like it used to be,” he explained, at the time. “My biggest goal was just building a foundation that I thought would be able to last because I don’t want to be divorced. I’ve waited this long to get married. I’ve never been married,” he continued. “I think that’s just strange that society just thinks if a man says no then he’s gay. If a woman says no, it’s fine. But it’s like the double standard that society has. I kind of laugh about it. I do have some feminine traits. The gay thing was kind of out of left field for me.”
Tim added that he found swirling transgender rumors “laughable.”
“The episode that just aired, you saw me get into a hot tub with Jeniffer, and I saw online that people were literally screen shotting it and looking for scars that I had my ‘breasts’ removed,” he said. “It comes with the territory. You’re going to get people that just have to come up with these outlandish ideas.”
