Vicki Gunvalson Admits She’s “Hurt” She Wasn’t Invited Back to ‘RHOC’ Alongside Tamra Judge!
Vicki Gunvalson has admitted that she’s not happy about Bravo’s decision to bring Tamra Judge back to The Real Housewives of Orange County without her.
Vicki spoke out about the network snub during an appearance on Kelly Dodd’s podcast, The Rick and Kelly Show.
“I miss it,” Vicki told her former co-star. “I know they are filming right now. I think it’s two weeks in. Tamra just got back from Italy.”
Vicki opened up about how she felt after not being asked back to the reality show that she put on the map.
“It hurt. It stings a little bit — actually, a lot,” she Bravo OG admitted.
Vicki blamed her exit on a high salary demand before firing a shot at successive cast members.
“The ratings were the best they’ve ever been when we were on. You get what you pay for!” she quipped.
Last month, news broke that Tamra was headed for a RHOC comeback, without her sidekick. Tamra, 54, was axed from the series in 2020 after being on the show for 12 years. Vicki, an original RHOC cast member, was demoted before leaving the show for good ahead of Season 15. Kelly Dodd was cut the next season as the network continued to shake up the cast.
The report came after Andy Cohen asked Jeff Lewis during a June appearance on SiriusXM’s ‘Jeff Lewis Live’—“How do you go on a ‘Housewives’ show when you’re doing a behind-the-scenes about the ‘Housewives’?”
Tamra co-hosts ‘Two P’s in a Pod’ podcast with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Teddi Mellencamp. Tamra later accused Cohen of parroting Heather Dubrow, who shared the same thought on her own podcast, “Heather Dubrow’s World.”
A couple of weeks later, Tamra slammed Real Housewives of New York City alum, Jill Zarin, for breaking the big news on her Instagram Story.
“And Tamra’s coming back and my friend Vicki’s not happy,” Jill said, while en route to Hamptons event.
Jill is currently appearing alongside Tamra and Vicki on Peacock series, Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club.
Vicki spoke out about Bravo’s decision, telling Page Six at the time, “Good for her, I’m happy for her.”
Insiders told Page Six that the upcoming RHOC season is expected to “revolve around Tamra.”
“Tamra is thrilled to come back to the show, especially after feeling the fan love from her stint on ‘Ultimate Girls Trip,’” another source told the outlet. “She can’t wait to get back in the mix on ‘RHOC’ and see how she can shake up the dynamic.”
Tamra later confirmed that she would be returning to star alongside Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and Beverly Hills “Housewives” crossover, Taylor Armstrong.
Dr. Jen Armstrong and Noella Bergener will not be returning. Both women confirmed their departures on social media.
The Real Housewives of Orange County is currently in production.
