Melissa and Joe Gorga ‘Laughing Off’ Cheating Rumors About RHONJ Star and Nick Barrotta!
Melissa and Joe Gorga are laughing off recent cheating allegations aimed at the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Page Six reports.
“They’re laughing about it,” a source told the outlet, describing the rumor that Melissa, 43, allegedly had a fling with actor, Nick Barotta, 31, as “ridiculous.”
“[They’ve] all been friends for years, “ the insider added.
The source said that the 43-year-old reality star and Barrotta, 31, socialize in the same circles and that he remains good friends with Melissa’s husband, Joe Gorga.
Sources close to the Tyler Perry’s The Oval star shot down the allegations in comments to the Daily Mail, stating that the actor is “shocked that someone would make up something so nasty in an attempt to destroy two families.”
The woman at the center of the drama spoke to Page Six on Tuesday, alleging that Melissa’s co-star, Margaret Josephs, was the source behind the rumor.
“I stand by my truth,” Laura Marasca Jensen, the woman accused of bringing the rumor to the Bravo group. “I never said [the rumor] was true. I said I was told by Margaret that someone saw that. I never said that Melissa did that.”
Jensen has reportedly auditioned to be on RHONJ three times. Several sources claimed that Jensen supposedly dished the rumor to Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin during a four-hour meeting, in an effort to land a spot on the cast.
“She went to two people who didn’t like [Margaret] crying to them and telling them all these stories,” a source said.
“Things with an ounce of truth, she twisted it. So were Margaret and Melissa ever out with these guys? Yes. Was there ever any kissing? No. No one made out with anybody.”
Jensen told the outlet that she did meet with Teresa, 50, and Jennifer, 45, in order to “align” herself with the reality stars in the event that she was chosen for the show. She insisted that she never intended to hurt Melissa.
A production source confirmed that the cheating rumor “does come up” in the upcoming RHONJ season. A separate snitch confirmed that Jennifer Aydin is the cast member who spills the scalding tea.
The drama reportedly did not drive a wedge between Margaret and the Gorgas. However, Joe and Melissa are seemingly on the outs with Teresa for meeting up with Jensen and allegedly working on getting the rumor on the upcoming season.
Joe and Melissa did not attend Teresa’s wedding with Luis Ruelas on Saturday, reportedly because of the RHONJ star’s alleged role in the narrative. Sources claimed that the developer and the boutique owner planned to attend the event up until Thursday night.
“There was a very tense ‘Housewives’ finale filmed earlier this week,” a source told Page Six, last week.
The premiere date for Season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey has not been announced.
