Joe Exotic Enlists Help from ’90 Day Fiancé’ Alum Jesse Meester in Push for Presidential Pardon!
Joseph Maldonado-Passage, who is also known as Joe Exotic, has enlisted the help of a 90 Day Fiancé personality to ask President Joe Biden for clemency.
The Tiger King star has evidently built a friendship with former TLC star, Jesse Meester, and hopes that he will help ask the president for a pardon.
Joe, 59, revealed his friendship with the 29-year-old reality star on Monday, introducing Jesse to his followers on Instagram.
“Meet my amazing dear friend Jesse Meester, actor, model, and so much more,” Joe captioned a pic of Jesse, who was snapped shirtless. ”You will see him around on my stuff more and more as he is going to help me get a voice to the White House for President Biden to sign my pardon before November of this year.”
“Show him some love,” he added. “Love you, Jesse.”
Jesse responded in the post’s comment section, writing—”We love you too Joe! People close to you turned their back on you, but not us. You helped many people through lockdown and we should never forget the truth and authenticity you lived your life with. It’s sad that the backstabbing and lying has become the norm [in] this society. Time to unite and fight back to get you out.”
Jesse has appeared on multiple 90 Day franchises since his TLC debut, in 2018. His romance with Darcey Silva was featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The Amsterdam native landed appearances on 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life, Darcey & Stacey, and other 90 Day spinoff shows. Jesse and Darcey are no longer in a relationship.
Joe has been in prison since January 2020, for scheming a murder-for-hire against his rival, Carole Baskin, and on animal abuse charges. The story was outlined in the Netflix documentary series, “Tiger King.” In January, Joe was handed a new sentence for his crime against Baskin, which knocked one year off his 22-year sentence. Joe has maintained his innocence from the start and has been advocating for his release since the beginning of his prison sentence.
Joe was reportedly recently diagnosed with “aggressive” prostate cancer. He added his health issue to his list of arguments supporting his release.
“Please don’t make me die in prison waiting for a chance to be free,” Joe begged a federal judge during his January resentencing hearing, according to the Associated Press.
