Wendy Williams’ Family & Friends Are Concerned After She LIED About Getting Married!

Wendy Williams’ close friends and family are expressing their concern after her latest claims of marriage!

Wendy’s brother, Tommy, has come out to say that his sister is surrounded by people who don’t want the best for her. He spoke out after Hollywood Unlocked posted a phone recording of the former show host saying she got married to an NYPD police officer. The blog’s CEO, Jason Lee, said Wendy called him and revealed this information along with other life updates. In another clip, Williams even said, “I’m married,” but her brother insists that he doesn’t know anything about her getting hitched.

Tommy Williams said about the way his sister was speaking on the recording: “I’ve been with Wendy since the very beginning and she’s never talked like this, but I don’t think it’s her fault. It’s a precarious situation.” He also said he spoke to Wendy last week — “She wasn’t getting married last week. I think it’s kind of crazy, and very unnerving.” Tommy also pointed out that Wendy’s rep, William Shelby, didn’t have her best interests in mind by allowing her to do interviews and go in front of cameras with her condition. 

Shelby cleared things up with the media on Wednesday and said Wendy wasn’t married. “She is just excited about a new relationship and probably got carried away in conversation.” Shelby said the former Wendy Williams Show host is calling all the shots on her career and not him, like most people think. He continued, “I have to listen to her even if I don’t always completely agree… if she wants to do an interview, sometimes we do it, and if it doesn’t work, I stop it. We’re still testing the waters.” The two are currently working on Wendy’s new podcast show, The Wendy Experience. 

Despite Tommy not naming Shelby, he believes the jeweler-turned-rep is taking advantage of his sister. “If she was around the right people, they wouldn’t have her in front of the cameras. She’s in the wrong hands.” He also said that all he wants is for Wendy to be healthy again. “I want her back in Florida because this is where the love is. She needs to be around the people who genuinely love her. We need to get her right, but she runs from me when I tell her that.” Shelby said during his interview that he would love to communicate with Wendy’s family and figure out the best way to work together.
