RHOBH’s Sheree Zampino Slams Kyle Richards For Assaulting Sutton Stracke!
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer, Sheree Zampino, sounded off about her co-star, Kyle Richards, in a new interview.
Sheree joined the Bravo cast as a “friend-of” in 2021 and shares a close friendship with Garcelle Beauvais. Sheree, the ex-wife of Will Smith, has largely been observing the RHOBH cast of ladies—Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Garcelle Beauvais, Crystal Kung Minkoff, and fellow newbie, Diana Jenkins, as the current season unfolds.
Sheree addressed the controversy that exploded after Erika Jayne cursed at Garcelle’s 14-year-old son and Kyle’s lighthearted reaction to the incident. Kyle, who was filmed laughing over the inappropriate exchange, later explained that while she did not condone Erika’s words to the teenager, she did appreciate her co-star loosening up on camera.
Kyle, her husband, Mauricio Umansky, Dorit Kemsley, and her husband, PK, all took heat from fans after they chuckled about the incident in a scene featured during the episode.
Sheree appeared on the August 1 episode of the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast, where she praised Garcelle for handling the situation with Erika “gracefully.”
She added that she found nothing amusing about what went down between Erika and Garcelle’s minor son.
“I don’t think any part of it was funny,” Sheree said. “It’s just not funny, period. You know, it’s just not funny at all. I don’t see the humor in it whatsoever.”
She added—“You know what. I like Kyle, but sometimes I think Kyle needs to sit down somewhere. Just sit out somewhere and let, let this, I think because she’s an OG, she’s been on, I think every season, so she probably to some extent, to a large extent, I mean, she’s very connected to the show and she acts, you know, as, not the peacemaker — she’s not a peacemaker, I wouldn’t call her that. But she acts as the ….commentator?”
Yontef pointed out that many fans believe that Kyle behaves more like a producer than a cast member. Sheree cosigned the podcaster and accused the RHOBH veteran of butting into conflicts that have nothing to do with her.
“Yes,” Sheree agreed. “And sometimes like, there was a scene with Diana and Sutton. Why, why are you even here? I didn’t understand. I don’t think they needed that. Sometimes you need somebody to come in and be a moderator. And I mean, she’s got the experience, you know, she’s got the knowledge and the information, but it’s not always necessary. We don’t always need a moderator. You know? So I think she kind of sometimes is a lot.”
Fans know that Kyle obnoxiously interjected herself into a personal discussion between Sutton Stracke and Diana Jenkins. Viewers watched Kyle physically grab Sutton while criticizing her remarks.
Sheree said of Kyle’s intrusion—“Let me stop. We didn’t need her.”
“I think sometimes she might jump the gun, meaning if it’s not necessary to have a moderator yet, but then too, it’s reality,” she added. “Maybe the producers tell her to get in there. I don’t know. You know, and if that’s the case, then she’s being a team player and doing what she signed up to do. So I don’t know. I don’t know. But yeah, it just seemed like with that scene, she wasn’t, it wasn’t necessary. It wasn’t necessary.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
