Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson Promotes $50 Cameos to Help Sister Raise 5 Kids!
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is financially pitching in to help her sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, raise her large brood. The 16-year-old recently shared a link to her Cameo account, in an effort to raise funds. The Mama June: Road to Redemption star shared the link in an Instagram Story, writing on a black background dotted with a heart emoji—”book my cameo.”
The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum has reportedly been creating “personalized videos” for fans, charging up to $50 apiece. Alana promotes herself as “available to book” and promises a video delivery after 24 hours. Messaging the WeTV teen costs fans up to $16.
Alana also brought in income during a recent meet-and-greet tour, where fans paid $25 to meet the famous teenager and her family, including her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell.
A promo for the family’s Atlanta appearance read—“The family will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Merch will be available for sale.”
Alana announced on social media—”Okay everyone, we have officially kicked off our Summer Tour to meet our fans in a city near you!! “We had a great turn out in Hollywood, California and our NEXT STOP is ATLANTA, GEORGIA!!!!!!”
Alana’s sister, Pumpkin, is also active on Cameo and has been booking video requests from fans and followers. The mom of four charges up to $60 per video, according to her account.
The Sun reported earlier this month that Pumpkin was in dire financial straits, and struggling to provide for her large family. Pumpkin shares four children, Ella, 4, Bentley, almost 1, and two-month-old twins, Stella and Sylus, with husband, Josh Efird. Pumpkin was named Alana’s legal guardian due to their mother’s addiction issues and subsequent arrest.
Sources spilled inside tea about the 22-year-old’s financial crisis and revealed how June allegedly reacted to the situation.
One insider alleged—“Pumpkin told June she didn’t have any groceries in the house, and she told Pumpkin ‘Well you better get on TikTok and make some d*** n money.’”
One source asked—“Why would a mother even say something like that?!”
June, 42, shot down the idea that the reality TV family rakes in the big bucks in a May interview with The Sun.
“What a lot of people don’t realize that this filming doesn’t pay what people think it does,” the reality star said. “We all have regular entrepreneur jobs after filming- like [my daughter] Jessica works at a daycare. Josh works with a friend of ours. We have events that we go out and do.”
Alana made headlines last week when Page Six reported that the teen will be heading to New York City in August to undergo weight loss surgery.
Alana reportedly weighs 275 pounds and wants to drop 150 pounds post-surgery. She’s reportedly had little success with various diets and is concerned that her weight is genetic. Alana believes that surgery is the only way she’ll be able to hit her weight loss goal. Alana’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, will also be going under the knife amid his own struggle to lose weight.
