Robyn Dixon Talks Monique Samuels ‘RHOP’ Absence And Gizelle Bryant Throws Shade!

Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant had a few things to say about Monique Samuels on their podcast.

Robyn Dixon and Monique Samuels haven’t always gotten along while on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Monique moved to Love & Marriage: DC after being on RHOP from seasons 2 to 5. Before Monique left, Bryant hired security because she feared for her safety while being around her. Despite their messy relationship, Bryant and Dixon admitted during an episode of their podcast, ‘Reasonably Shady,’ that Monique was a good addition to RHOP.

Gizelle and Robyn, had reality TV producer, Carlos King, on the show as a guest and he asked them if Monique Samuels was good for the show. Dixon said that at first, she was happy that Monique joined the show because while filming season 1, the cast was only full of light skin people, and to her, it wouldn’t be relatable to the audience. “Not for just that reason alone but I thought that was so important for people to see that. And for them to be able to connect with us and do I think she was a good addition to the show? Yeah. We had success so… a lot of people tuned in. They saw Monique and they said, ‘Oh, let me watch this show and see what it’s about.’”

Robyn continued to say, “And then people were able to appreciate the show for what it was and not look at the show and say ‘I can’t relate to anyone.’ So just for that reason alone, I think she was a great addition.” Gizelle, on her side, agreed with everything Robyn said, however, she didn’t skip the chance to throw some shade. Bryant said, “So I agree with everything Robyn said but currently, she’s exactly where she should be which is with you on another network.”

Monique spoke to Insider when she left The Real Housewives of Potomac. “I’ve always said that if the show ever interfered with my family or my marriage that I would definitely get to packing.” Bravo fans responded to Robyn and Gizelle’s comments on the podcast. One fan said, “That Reasonably Shady podcast was cringe. I don’t think active housewives should not openly critique other housewives. Also, Gizelle and Robyn saying Monique was a good addition to #RHOP bc they needed more “color.” Just disgusting.”
