‘Black Ink Crew’ Ceaser Emanuel Surrenders To Police Over Animal Cruelty Charges!
Ceaser Emanuel surrendered himself to police after a video of him being cruel to his dogs was leaked.
Black Ink Crew star, Ceaser Emanuel, got a ton of backlash his way when a video of him abusing one of his dogs was shared on social media. In the clip, he was seen beating his dog with a metal chair. According to TMZ, a spokesperson for the City of South Fulton PD confirmed that Emanuel turned himself in. The jail records show that Emanuel is facing two misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty and one felony charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.
Shortly after the clip went viral, Ceaser was let go from the VH1 reality show, Black Ink Crew New York. A spokesperson for the network said about Ceaser’s exit from the show: “We have made the decision to cut ties with Ceaser Emanuel from Black Ink Crew New York. Since next season was close to finishing production, this decision will not impact the upcoming season.” Emanuel’s attorney said at the time that the video was old and probably taken during the 2020 pandemic. After the video was leaked, Ceaser insisted that he was only trying to break up a fight between his two dogs.
The Black Ink Crew star responded to the backlash from fans and said that the clip doesn’t show his true character. He issued an apology and said he wasn’t trying to abuse the dog, instead he was only trying to get him back in his cage. “I’m not gonna make excuses for myself. I should have behaved better, but that is not me being cruel to animals.” A rep close to Ceaser said, “Although his actions were not appropriate at all, [Ceaser] is sincerely apologetic and feels extremely bad. He is dealing with death threats which is causing him fear and depression. His only goal was to build an empire to help build jobs and bring the Black community in the tattoo industry successful given that the community is limited there.”
After reports came out that Ceaser had turned himself in to authorities, his reps came out to clarify that he had done so earlier this month. In an exclusive statement to The Shade Room, they said that Emanuel willingly turned himself in on July 9 and was released on the same day. They added that his legal team is fully cooperating with the Fulton County Police Department to bring him justice for this incident. They also updated fans on the state of the dogs saying, “As we stated previously, the dogs are in a great space, safe and healthy.”
