Southern Charm’s Shep Rose & Taylor Ann Green Have Broken Up!

According to insiders, Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green have gone their separate ways after dating for two years.  

Sources close to the former Southern Charm couple exclusively told People that Taylor Ann, 27, and Shep, 42, have broken up. They say the two eventually broke up because Shep didn’t want to live a monogamous lifestyle with his girlfriend. “Shep has a real issue with monogamy and refused to commit to Taylor, telling her that he doesn’t want to be with just one person and change his lifestyle.”

The insiders also said that Taylor is incredibly hurt by their split at this time but she “knows that she deserves a guy who will fight for her, not one who is so selfish.” They continued, “He’ll regret this.” The news of the couple’s split doesn’t come as a shock to many Southern Charm fans since they saw the signs early on in their relationship. Some fans said that Shep and Taylor were headed for a breakup after he admitted to being unfaithful to her.

During Southern Charm’s last reunion, Shep told Andy Cohen that he had texted other women and even kissed one while dating Taylor. “There was some text messages. It was an old flame. and I kissed a girl in a stairwell, but that’s all it was.” Fans reacted to the couple’s breakup on Twitter and most said that Shep was never going to commit anyway. One person tweeted, “Wow, I’m not surprised, but really thought he would have a change of heart after seeing how pathetic he sounds when talking about it on the show.”

Another fan said that Shep Rose might end up an old and lonely man if he continues this way. “He’s going to be that weird, old dude going to bars and trying to pick up young girls. He’s this close to being TRav2.0.” Taylor joined Southern Charm during seasons 7 and 8 while she was dating Rose. Co-star, Venita Aspen, weighed in on the couple’s relationship early in June and hinted that Taylor loved Shep more than he did her.

Aspen, 28, told Us Weekly, “I think that the unfortunate thing with them is that Taylor loves Shep more than Shep loves Taylor and, like, you should never be with a man that doesn’t love you as much as you love him. That’s just the harsh reality from the outside looking in and kind of seeing them like, you know, having their fights or whatever.”
