Alana Thompson Begs Fans to Pay $25 For Meet-and-Greet Event Amid Family’s Financial Crisis!
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is holding a meet-and-greet and charging fans $25 apiece, amid her family’s financial crisis. Alana’s sister and legal guardian, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, is reportedly struggling to put food on the table for the 16-year-old and her own four young children.
The Mama June: Road to Redemption star shares four children, Ella, 4, Bentley, almost 1, and two-month-old twins, Stella and Sylus, with husband, Josh Efird.
Alana promoted the August event on Sunday, which will allow fans to meet Alana, Pumpkin, their mother, Mama June Shannon, Pumpkin’s husband, Josh, their daughter, Ella, and Alana’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The promo of the event reads—”The family will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Merch will be available for sale.”
Alana took to Instagram to announce the upcoming event, writing—”OK Everyone….We have officially kicked off our Summer Tour to meet our fans in a city near you!! We had a great turn out in Hollywood, California and our NEXT STOP is ATLANTA, GEORGIA!!!!!!”
The Sun reported earlier this month that Pumpkin was in dire financial straits.
Sources shared details about the 22-year-old’s cash crisis and revealed how June allegedly reacted to the situation.
One insider alleged—“Pumpkin told June she didn’t have any groceries in the house, and she told Pumpkin ‘Well you better get on TikTok and make some d*** n money.’”
One source asked—“Why would a mother even say something like that?!”
June, 42, dismissed the idea that the reality TV family brings in the big bucks in a May interview with The Sun.
“What a lot of people don’t realize that this filming doesn’t pay what people think it does,” the reality star said. “We all have regular entrepreneur jobs after filming- like [my daughter] Jessica works at a daycare. Josh works with a friend of ours. We have events that we go out and do.”
Pumpkin revealed last March that her bank account was sent into overdraft because of a minor bank error. She explained, via a social media post, that it only took a $650 glitch to land her account in the red.
She wrote alongside an article about the bank account snafu—”I had the same problem with a charge for $650 on my card made my account negative and still have yet to figure out the problem!!! Don’t worry I’m about to switch banks.”
In an episode that aired earlier this summer, Pumpkin and Alana slammed their mother for spending more cash on her new boyfriend than on her own children.
Pumpkin and Honey Boo Boo read a headline from their phones— “Newly single Mama June spoils secret boyfriend with $50,000 in cars and rent.”
Pumpkin says in a confessional spot— “Bitch, where the f—ck is my $50,000? Because I could really use it to take care of your kids.”
Alana adds, “$50,000? That’s a lot of money!”
The Sun reported last month that June was raking in $25k per month from her reality TV career and various promotional gigs.
Mama June: Road to Redemption airs on Fridays on WeTV.
